That is the plan actually, just in case I need to leave it for fettling.

 

Anyway, I've spent much of this afternoon chucking the thing around on the driveway, which isn't easy given the limited space. It was quite exciting. Especially when I deployed BEARD CAM.

 

That was just a trial of that particular technology (a selfie-stick stuck down my top). Not bad. I reckon I can make improvements before Friday.

That's look equally great and terrifying! I could totally see the attraction of recommissioning one of these on a social history basis but that genuinely looks like it's going to be great fun to own; low speed thrills, tiny storage footprint and (presumably) low running costs. Win win all round!

 

On the camera mounting aspect, could I recommend getting a mini magic arm? Pukka ones are big coin but the likes of Aliexpress offer much cheaper versions, which I think would be fine for the lightweight cameras you're using. In the TV/Film industry, they support 6" HD monitors, which pretty much any HD camera is useless without nowadays, so they're capable enough.

IIRC there where 2 sizes 500cc and 600cc... (if its equipped with a 600cc engine it would make for quite an interesting comparison against your 2cv )

Vaguely off topic, but I told someone at work today about imcdb.org and looked to see how many films an Invacar had appeared in. Background shots aside, the main appearance of one was in an episode of Juliet Bravo where some young whippersnapper hotwires one and makes off with it.

Was going to say Break a Leg,I didnt mean actually break one but it does beg the question if you did you cant drive a car as its not really advised and your insurance would be void

Yes. Prior invalid carriages, of many different designs, used the same Villiers engine.

being a K reg car, would of it originally had White text on black background number plates? if so do you plan to get a pair fitted to TWC?

im quite partial to the old style plates when appropriate (it always bugs me when I see a Routemaster that has modern style reflective plates on... LOL)
