  1. ‘Shuttle’ being the operative word there, given the moon mileage.
  2. Bloody hell. 380 miles a day, for a year? Must have been a pool taxi of some sort. The engine was never cold!
  3. Perfect for halloween! Pretend you’re a hotel caretaker who’s gone mental.
  4. Unfortunately it has eyelashes. So, scrap it.
  5. I would definitely be interested in reading more. Thanks for sharing.
  6. The OLLI brigade must be shitting themselves too.
  7. Thanks for sharing this. The 1980 Spitfire brochure must be one of the very last.
  8. That handbrake is symbolic of my feelings for this beast.
  9. Maybe they filled it with chicken wire and wob? 😂
  10. For lots of small businesses approaching their year-end, it’s helpful to have invoices raised, even when they have no intention of demanding payment. It helps to show what amounts will be due at a later date.
  11. As someone said above, sounds like you have a good combo: good mechanicals with ‘patina’
  12. Doesn’t someone else on here have one of these? Following with interest!
  13. Down Among the Big Boys is on YouTube, here: Loads of mid-90s chod around Glasgow. The main villain (Billy Connelly) seems to be chauffeured around in a base-ish Carlton!
  14. Bangalore Tiger Grabbers have always served me well. Total bargain at £10.50 a corner. Leaves plenty in the budget for recovery and accident repairs.
  15. This is one of the best cars on here right now. So good to see these getting some proper investment.
  16. Saw your Christmas presents for refugees on Insta - your generosity is an example to us all. Shall keep my eyes peeled on your behalf, for 90s chod.
  17. That is lovely. And with your methodical attention to detail, it’s lucky to have found you. Look forward to reading more.
  18. I thought the Matra belonged to someone on here?
  19. As long as you don’t knock the wiper stalk into an on position, before you put them back on…
  20. You’re giving the Shadow a run for his money.
  21. On lighting, it’s worth checking to see if the dimming relay is still present on the rear lighting circuit. This was fitted to all later Spitfires, but was only needed for the US market. From memory you can simply remove it and instantly have brighter rear lights.
  22. I loved mine. The fuse boxes can be fragile, as can the ignition switch. They create all types of gremlins that are difficult to trace. Look forward to reading more!
  23. Are you sure they’re for humans, not horses?
