It looks like a Caterham 7 that has aged badly and had excessive amounts of badly-done surgery, like some washed up actress who can't handle the idea of getting old.

I've seen it at car shows before...

Yeah, it still looks terrible no matter how you photograph it.

It's a Metro, underneath. The seller says it needs registering properly which means it probably never had an IVA/SVA or whatever that test is called to keep homebrew deathtraps off the road... oh.

Well it's had MOTs so can't be entirely terrible, but yes, it's still registered as an MG Metro. How odd.

Even the curtains are rotting.

There's no way anything on that could still be useable

Or the big hole in the bonnet so pedestrians can bounce their noggin off the rocker cover.

The cynic in me says that's been bought for its ID and VIN. Ideal for ringing a stolen one. 😔

Good god almighty, ebay has 'suggested' this atrocity to me earlier today

s-l1600.jpg

Including highlights such as

POWER - Perkins NAD
HANDLING - LDV Pilot Chassis
STYLING - plastic pig nailed on top
INTERIOR - 'minimalist'

we have never got round to putting a MOT on it but cant see a reason why she wouldn't go though one

If I owned an MOT station I'd just refuse on principle to test it.

Here's what's left of a lorry:

He wants £4000 for two of these beauties. Let's be charitable and say this is the worse one.

Several bin wagons for @dozeydustmanto I'd. Personally, that looks like an AEC in the left corner of the first pic. Fortunately it will not fit in my drive.

They’d have to be pennies for me to be interested. A normal control Pax (The galley tankers he’s selling) are very rare beasts. I can’t identify any of the compactor bodies in his ‘collection’

Don't kid yourself, the end result is too valuable in Dubber World. Some pigeon shit welding, a few tons of wob and shiny, shiny 2 pack paint and you're looking at thirty grand there. It's lost that registration though, it'd be even more if it hadn't.

^^^BYOB^^^ (Bring Your Own Bag)....

It's telling that the seller makes a point about the VIN numbers being present - isn't somebody remanufacturing Escort shells..... possibly not for a "More Door" though.

Gone already. Such is the demand.

I had a more door 1300L that colour, and a damn sight less rusty. Still got scrapped

If that's the one I think it is, I was at school with the owner's son and remember looking in wonder at it close to thirty years ago. I think that's a Camaro next to it in a similar state.

Fancy a Capri ?

How about this one, bobbing around £1100 at the moment, looks crispy round the edges... Might be saveable with some work

Then reality comes along, anybody having a lager fueled bid frenzy over the weekend may be in for a surprise.
The above picture was taken on a real camera, probably via Pronto-Print and had a sticker advising "Stand a bit closer so they can see the rust properly"
They did stuff like that in 1978.

Time has been a cruel mistress to this car

Apart from what has rusted away the car is complete, and has not been stripped down.

However there is no steering wheel as I removed it years ago and cannot find it,
and no boot lid.
The only other things I think that are missing is the distributor cap, points and fuel pump.
I had trouble starting the car and these were removed in my quest to get it running again.  Then life took over and I am sorry to say the car got left (bad mistake).
