MiniMinorMk3
Late to the MGB party, the Dinky Matchbox version was quite a good casting, and with a change of wheels and some extra bits of tampo printing they also did a V8. sierraman
Matchbox arrived with Dinky right slap bang in the middle of the ‘collectors item’ era. Nevertheless they’re nice models, especially for the time, but they don’t seem to have a massive following now though.

Datsuncog
They do seem to be especially fragile, those Dinky Vogues. Possibly why they're relatively uncommon today, despite being in the range for a good few years? Christine

I think the Dinky Matchbox Collection suffered because of the scatter gun approach to what they modelled. They were priced reasonable but produced in huge numbers and ended up sitting on shelves with discount price tags. Some of the later models are more collectable such as the TR4A, Stag and XK150. These were produced near the end of the run and in much smaller numbers. The range didn't last that long and was replaced by the Matchbox Collectables range, with some of the castings having another outing such as the '67 Mustang Datsuncog, danthecapriman, FakeConcern and 4 others

Datsuncog
2023 case Matchbox now rolled out to more branches of Poundland: Unfortunately, these are now correctly priced, following the 50p bonanza a few weeks back. Poundstretcher had no further Matchbox of any description. There were still a few Hot Wheels blind bags in a basket, but only a solitary HW Experimotor longcard, the 'Speed Driver', left on the pegs: They're a weird range, but I kinda like their ingenuity. I keep a Carbonator in the drinks cabinet for cracking open mixer bottles. I'm pretty sure this one is meant to have a removable screwdriver attachment or something set into the body, as per the pic? Deffo nothing in there. One for the @bunglebus error car collection, maybe? AndyW201, Burnside and bunglebus 2

Not to mention cheaper per item! I made up a list of what I need, segregated into Corgi, Dinky and Spot-On, and I reckon I'll be buying them in stages! The total without postage comes within conversing distance of £60. Bloody hell.... And! There's something I want that he wasn't able to offer, which is a shame as I need it to finish one of my restorations. Corgi Lancia Fulvia Sport Zagato. I have all the opening panels, windows, wheels, interior... but what I don't have is the radiator grille and headlights. I can't find them anywhere. Anyone got a mangled example that still has these intact? Please? You don’t get much from Steve Flowers for £60! What I didn’t show when I put up pics of my Tri Deck Gift Set repro was the front of my code3 (is that correct use of terminology?) Lancia in orange with Whizzwheels. I got the cheapest one I could off ebay and when I received it was disappointed to find a missing headlight. I did look back at the pics and it was shown from the top and by enlarging it and looking carefully it was possible to see this so I couldn’t really complain, just put it down to experience (I was pissed off though!). Anyway I made an acceptable replacement but before fitting it I won a very cheap job lot of three. So if you can wait, you can have the grill, one genuine light & one homemade once I’ve received them. danthecapriman, andrew e, AndyW201 and 3 others

FakeConcern
I was in Norwich yesterday and saw these in Looses This track looked nice, not my thing really.. I don't think there will be spare Lancia lights if @eddyramrodwants one (he wants two really) and I'm having one as I'm a selfish git. I had bought a set of Mini Marcos lenses for mine from Steve Flowers and now I don't think I'll use them so you can have them for nothing if you want them. The tray at the centre is where you hold your favourite flathead, Phillips, Torx etc bit. You need to supply your own bit of choice, much like Tooligan from years ago You'll also find out the spanner (wrench!) end is 3/8" and not metric either, silly sods. 155V6
Called into my local toyfair on the way home tonight. This was in the car park,I think it belongs to one of the sellers 😎 Not much inside to tempt me,a few Corgi Rockets, but nothing I haven't already got.I was hoping there might be some Impys, even though I definitely don't collect them 😂.I was tempted by a Minichamps Ford StreetKa in matt black, but already have blue ones in 3 different scales so passed on that. I did find this though I've already got a beaten up one,but this is much nicer,& has the important bits which are normally missing Really pleased with my £6.00 spend 😁 AndyW201, flat4alfa, eddyramrod and 8 others

I wouldn't give 60 notes for that Louis Marx set myself, but they do fetch that sort of money as they are pushing 60 years old. 6-volt set, battery cells went into the hand controllers. That's if it's not rusted track and the cars are warped and powdery like many Unfortunately the cars sell well individually outside of the box, so its unusual to find complete set FakeConcern
