In a rousing ceremony @KruJoe has been reunited with his long lost frying pan which was left at a shitefest several years ago.

The travel log has many thousands of miles with numerous shiters and has reached all of mainland UK including the far north of Scotland, north Wales, the midlands, south east and many trips to the FOD.

Welp, looks like I royally fucked up. 

Mindful that I was already scheduled to depart tonight, as it started to piss it down in Ironbridge I gambled that it was going to be doing the same at the site which was 30 mins in the opposite direction from home. And thus, I....

Back home and looking at the pictures from tonight however, it appears that the last time someone was this wrong he'd just flown back from Germany and was waving a piece of paper... 🙃 

Nevertheless, huge thanks to Rich for an extremely enjoyable 24 hours and putting on the whole event. Huge thanks to ScruffyBodger for organising today's blacksmith trip, which was great fun! And huge thanks to our Scottish contingent for an extremely well organised and tasty breakfast fry up, which went a long way to banishing the effects of some whisky overindulgence from the previous night 😅

Well, I’ve never been this close to Shitefest, I’m actually in Britain right now, but to visit BST in Hyde park tomorrow with young Ms. Rightnider. She’s been dealing with depression for a couple of years, so the choice is easy this year.

It took 6:30hrs on the nose to get home. Google maps took us a lot of smol roads that could have been avoided to make up time and the M6 was BORKED south of Stoke. Plus a dinner stop at Keele.

Thanks @catsinthewelder and everyone else for a very warm welcome to my first Shitefest/Generic Shit Old Car Show.

Highlights included seeing the Shite diaspora from all corners of the globe*. Nice to chat to the Kernow Massif and likewise the SVM. Thanks attack to @Scotty for the loan of his electron pusher which allowed Master Grogee to watch Harry Potter and the Knackered Austin Cambridge.

Thanks also to @Dave_Q for our divorce self help group chat and to the nice guy (shamefully, I've forgotten your name) I chatted to at length about mining, parenting, Corsa sunroofs, sausages etc.

Valiant effort by all involved to get the Honda moped going, sometimes things just aren't meant to be. 

Safe drives to all of you going serious distances to get home. 

To those hesitating about going to the next shite event - don't think about it, JFDI. It's the most fun you'll have with your trousers on. 

@catsinthewelder - please share PayPal address so I/we can pay towards the hosting costs.

Finally - the Mcdonalds Hat Trick I had today reminded me very much of 'The Clogger' as featured in The Simpsons.

As we left Cardiff at 10.30 I did briefly think of swinging by on the way home for a brief spell... My hangover to fuck friend/the stag would have loved it! He fell asleep too so we could have scared the crap out of him. 

But it was 12pm by the time we were at Swindon so I carried on home. Looks like you all had a good time!

lovely easy run back into cornwall .

610 miles in the lil LNA and apart from a small driveline vibration on the overrun when hot it didn’t miss a beat . 
Shame that I didn’t get the bike going and big thanks to those that lent tools and legs . Sorry to those that wanted to carry on but to be honest I was knackered and didn’t want to take it home in a dustbin bag when everyone gave up on the swine . 
I will get the sod going .

You're right Dick. They are nice and throaty and @Noel Tidybeard says this is increased/improved if you remove the 'elephant's trunk' intake hose from the air cleaner.

However because my (stainless, aftermarket) exhaust is so fucking loud  it's difficult to notice this particular trait. 

I do need to investigate a swap to the centre silencer which currently seems to amplify the noise instead of reducing it.
