Middle laning bunglecunts that don't understand why I'm flashing them and using the horn to get them to move the fuck in when they're doing 62.

Now I'm past you, turn your fucking full beams off you bellsniff.

Middle lane drivers are getting horrendous. I don't know why but it's becoming a much much more common 'thing'.

I'll be honest, I don't bother going out around them anymore. If I can undertake them I just do it. I don't deliberately drive in an aggressive way but I just carry on driving as normal at the same speed and if that means I pass them that way then so be it. Fuck em.

I had an unbelievably close call today. Driving my Sprinter and towing the trailer down a 40mph main road some stupid cow trying to cross a staggered junction in front of me. She looked right at me then pulled out in front of me, then slams on the brakes to make an immediate right turn, leaving her cars arse end blocking the main road.

I had to brake very very heavily, the van is a 3.5 ton + oil tanker trailer full of 800 litres of oil = pretty heavy! I stopped before rear ending the dozy bint but the trailer brakes locked and skidded.

One of those situations where your so shocked that A, it happened B, you didn't hit them that I didn't even think to use the horn or give her some verbal afterwards!

Wtf is wrong with people on the roads!?

Contact your bank & tell them. Tell Paypal.

Change your paypal & ebay passwords along with the questions, as it's often easier for crooks to find out the questions than the password.

I've just got emails saying two eBay orders for stuff, both for 78.98 dollars have been ordered and payed for via PayPal from my bank account. I checked my bank and I'm missing loads of money. Shit. What do I do?

Get hold of Paypal and they can cancel the transaction and recover the money. Do the same with your bank.

I know a lot of retards who claim that staying in the middle lane is safer as it's dangerous changing lanes to overtake trucks. I try not to use the phrase brainless fucknugget when explaining that if they find it that dangerous they shouldn't be driving.

Just tell them both what's happened, as if they both give you the money back that would be considered fraud.

I would imagine in this case, Paypal has legitimately taken money from your bank due to a fraudulent PP transaction, so it should be PayPal doing the refundage.

Your bank has to give it straight back due to the direct debt guarantee, they'd then reclaim it off PP.

Definitely the first bit!

I had a similar issue a while ago. It took a hell of a lot of aggro and many many phone calls between my bank and PayPal to sort.

From what I found out/was told, the banks have much more clout than handlers like PayPal. PayPal just move money around.

Your bank can basically order the money back from PayPal and PayPal must comply with that. It's then up to PayPal to sort themselves out with the other party. As long as it's a genuine situation obviously!

My situation went to shit though as my bank and PayPal didn't communicate with each other or me so I somehow ended up being refunded twice!

Once they found out this had happened I ended up in shit with PayPal demanding the second incorrect refund money back. Which I paid obviously, but if they'd have told me what was happening it wouldn't have happened.

Last of the Mk2 transits with the plastic grill and square headlights.

Didn't know they weren't their own (does that make sense) anyway are square mk1 Fiesta ones very different or are they expensive too?

It's not even just the middle lane anymore. On four lane motorways they sit in lane 3, meaning there's two empty lanes, and behind the bunglecunt there's four lanes funneling themselves through lane four to get past.

I know I shouldn't, but in those situations I just go on the inside.

Most of the time it is the wake up call they need to pull in. I guess they are so zoned out that they need to have it made blatantly fucking obvious to them that they are in the way of everyone else.

I find the four lane motorways often being used as a pair of quite individual dual carriageways, the left making slightly better progress, the righthand one having a tad more of a brakelight glow. I think many of the hoggers hog mostly because they're shit and lazy at the whole driving game, not competent to change lane, that's why they'll merge straight into an overtaking lane on joining, the improved view from the slip road allowing them to just about manage, next lane change is their clumsy exit where they cajole right into your braking distance and urgently hit the anchors. Also some moderns have truely fucking appalling rear vision, porthole rear screen, door mirrors with the critical outer surface tapered off into a point for sake of fashion and those stealth indicators can only add to the challenge. We're just never going to see our motorways anywhere near fit for purpose again. Time to drop the whole idea of motorway lanes, start removing them, maximum of three. Forget the idea of overtaking lanes, they're just lanes now. 60MPH limit everywhere with 12 points and a fuck off for going over by so much as 1MPH, give it a year and if the dicks wont grow the fuck up and follow the most simple basic standards of motoring and allow the roads to work then fuck 'em it's two lanes and 50MPH.

Might just work, who knows? Other than some kind of big economic recession to take a few million off the road, it's only going to continue getting worse as things are, that's a certainty.

If I'm progressing in my lane at XXmph, and someone is on my outside doing XX-10mph, then it's not illegal for me to continue past them. What annoys me even more than the lane hoggers, is people who can't understand that simple concept and need to either slow to the same speed, or dive across and funnel through the outside lane.

My grump tonight is trying to explain why modern diesels are pointless (on another forum) to someone who knows that they're amazing because they've been driving for 40 years and do 50k a year. Yes, I know I should just ignore them, but I think it's my time of the month.

Im also under the impression it is not illegal to pass on the inside if for example there are cars in l2 and im in a clear l1 i will pass on the inside.

I travel a lot on motorways and always see these middle and outside lane hoggers. Most are basically just zoned out, as long as they are making some progress in a forward manner and not crashing into something blatantly in front of them then they generally don't give much of a shit what is happening around them which is evident when they do eventually have to change lanes and end up nearly crashing into the vehicle next to them. Most will wake up when a vehicle travelling faster than them passes them from the inside or flashes thier lights or something. Some won't and are blatantly dozy or believe they have some "right" to be in that lane and not move over. Those are the ones who are most dangerous.

Also the right-hand lane lemmings is something it just don't get, particularly in heavy traffic. I can mostly make more progress in the left-hand lane in heavy traffic than I ever could in the right. Again, it's peoples unthinking perceptions; we are taught that the right-hand lane is an overtaking lane, but even when that clearly isn't the case most people will still jump into that lane anyway thinking it'll move a lot quicker than the other lanes.

It's not illegal to pass on the inside, if you've not changed lanes specifically to do it. You should proceed in the leftmost lane.

Rule 268 is typically contradictory though and says

Do not overtake on the left or move to a lane on your left to overtake. In congested conditions, where adjacent lanes of traffic are moving at similar speeds, traffic in left-hand lanes may sometimes be moving faster than traffic to the right. In these conditions you may keep up with the traffic in your lane even if this means passing traffic in the lane to your right. Do not weave in and out of lanes to overtake.

Do not overtake on the left!

Unless these quite vague conditions are satisfied.

(How congested is congested? Is the presence of slower moving vehicles in lanes 2/3/4 a sign of congestion? What if there is nothing visible in lane 1, can you still be keeping up with traffic you can't see?)

In other words, if it's a "traffic situation" passing on the left is fine. If you're in lane 1 doing about 70, lane 2 is empty, and lanes 3 and 4 are going slower than 70, it's not you whose driving should be brought into question.

No doubt those in lanes 3 & 4 will argue that lanes 1 & 2 are for HGVs.

I used to pull out from lane 1 to lane 3 to overtake middle lane dawdlers, and then pull back into lane 1 right across their bow.  I've done enough motorway miles in the Rover of Doom that I can judge where the back is to within about 6 inches or so.  Some of them even used to get the point.  These days I really can't be arsed any more though, and I just pass them on the left.

While I will not admit to driving over the NSL I do find it incredibly irritating to have some cock warbler flash me to get past at close to 3 figure speeds.

As a mainly weekday motorway driver I do actually believe that I am not safe driving on a motorway at weekends as I do not understand why weekend drivers are trying to kill me

As indicated above, just stay in lane 1 and serenely pass them on the left, entirely lawfully since you won't have changed lanes to do so.  Helps your stress levels, too...

Very rare i actually go into l3 or 4. Also very rare i do any less than 65. I still seem to make good progression. Some folk cant drive. Hell im not perfect but im courteous and think of other road users.

On the motorway lanes - I was actually greeted here in Belgium by a (company car driving) colleague who's first comments included - UK, you lot sit in the middle of the motorway all the time don't you......... I kid you not. It's famous in Europe!

The fact that the Belgo's do exactly the same thing is neither here nor there. There are a LOT of only 2 lane carriageways throughout Belgium and the fudge-packing-leatherpant-wearing-goat-felchers still sit in the outer lane constantly.......

You are not alone my brethren, it's a global dumbing down of those holding a licence.

On the other hand - Germany is a sight better, but that's because they're expecting another company car driving Andretti to show up at 250km/h+ in their mirrors with the headlights on full beam and indicators going....... been a fair few panicked drivers crashed because of this type of behaviour sadly.

Sit inside - if you're progressing better then they are - so be it.

TBH I've always found driving on Belgium motorways fairly easy going with fairly good driving and lane discipline, at least compared to what I experience daily in the UK.

The exception to that being on or in the vicinity of the Brussels ring-road which is utter bedlam with driving standards that leave much to be desired. Well, when it's not one huge traffic jam anyway...

I tend to do this more confidently when there's a hard shoulder.

When it's Active Traffic and I'm on the running shoulder, I'm a bit nervous that if they did suddenly realise they were in the wrong lane (or even take offence to me passing them on the left) I've got nowhere to go. Especially when it's a HGV.

However, that said I do find that certain sections of Active motorways - such as the M42 North between Solihull and the A45 - you get a free run, an entire lane to yourself even if lanes 2/3/4 are at standstill. Nobody uses it! You can easily pass a couple of hundred stationary cars.

Just received a letter “safety recall, bonnet striker needs strengthening.”

I love the thought of having the bonnet fly up whilst driving, who do Citroen think they are? An early ‘00s Renault?

KFC "Double Down" burger:

post-3886-0-76572600-1510320215_thumb.jpg

Why the fuck did I eat that? I couldn't decide what to get, so I just ordered whatever was on a special.

I thought it had been made wrong til I googled it.

Instead of bread, it's 2 pieces of (bland) chicken.

Instead of a tasty burger filling, it had bacon and various colours of goo.

Usually when I eat something as unhealthy as this, it tastes good. Now I'm gonna end up eggbound and it was all for nothing.

Is it not searingly hot to hold? I thought that was part of the point with a conventional burger, the bread acts as insulation for the (hopefully) hot filling?

It looks extremely unappealing. and messy. and hot.
