  1. I am scheduled to be working that day, but will try to get it booked off for this year's show. The last two have been brilliant, so I will try to go along to it again.
  2. 6 months MOT and only two bids so far on this Maestro van, which appears to have been owned by a shite hero. "Was used Daily for work. Only selling due to ULEZ charge" https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Austin-Rover-Maestro-Van-700-Rare-Petrol/143509906489?hash=item2169db6439:g:EQEAAOSw2kleJH0y
  3. Yes, everyone knows 90s Escorts are shit, but the seats in this Ghia estate more than make up for it in my opinion. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Escort-Classic-Estate-1994-Ghia/223885654752?_trkparms=aid%3D333200%26algo%3DCOMP.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20171012094517%26meid%3D8fc91d71801d47e4add68d8e67bf4135%26pid%3D100008%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D293444737953%26itm%3D223885654752%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2047675&_trksid=p2047675.c100008.m2219
  4. Very low mileage pre-facelift Vectra in Staines. Currently £235, with about 18 hours to go on the auction. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Vectra-LS-2-0-16v-1998-VERY-LOW-MILEAGE/293444737953?_trkparms=aid%3D333200%26algo%3DCOMP.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20171012094517%26meid%3D01592f4363d9470cb677f6cf58e7a71c%26pid%3D100008%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D124067476353%26itm%3D293444737953%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2047675&_trksid=p2047675.c100008.m2219
  5. I won't either, but please keep us updated on the shite going through.
  6. Sounds good and glad things are going along. I am free some weekends this month, so may be able to nip down and help out with getting the stuff out of the car.
  7. Nah, it wasn't that bad. Unfortunately the head gasket let go not long after getting it, but it was still a very nice barge and came in rather useful for a few weeks when some renovation work was going on. It was probably up there with the Safrane in terms of comfortable velour seats, however it wouldn't have been an economically viable repair. After that, I sold it to some "members of the travelling community" who I believe used the gearbox out of it to rescue another Omega, so it did have a happy-ish ending. And I kept the leather wallet for keeping some of the invoices safe for one of dad's other Omegas
  8. It's normally painful enough blindly purchasing a poorly photographed car bought blind off the internet when it is nearby; but having to go all the way to Portugal to drive back in a Renault 9 on the basis of these would take it to an all new level. https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1170300 Still tempting for £475
  9. Another one for those who like to gamble, this late Mk2 Mondeo ticks all the right boxes. Ghia X, 2.5 V6, estate, but only with a few weeks MOT. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201911184482451?year-to=2000&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&price-to=1000&advertising-location=at_cars&sort=price-asc&year-from=1995&model=MONDEO&radius=1500&postcode=ip142aa&make=FORD&page=1&modal=photos
  10. Although not the best Acclaim in the world, this looks reasonable enough. Having had quite a bit of work done on it recently and an MOT until next summer, it could be an interesting purchase for someone here. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1982-triumph-acclaim-good-runner-long-MOT-honda-ballade-or-civic-mk2-classic-car/223758937425?hash=item3419126d51:g:ENMAAOSwglld1T3e
  11. If you feel brave, you could take on this 235k Laguna. No MOT, but it might appeal to the kind of individual who likes low spec cars and high mileage Renaults. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201911084161933?advertising-location=at_cars&year-to=2000&postcode=ip142aa&price-to=1000&sort=price-asc&radius=1500&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&year-from=1995&page=1
  12. Mk2 Astra CD with a year's MOT. Currently £400. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Astra-CD-2-0l-1990/133245146569?hash=item1f060795c9:g:9agAAOSwT~Nd0vRZ
  13. Either works we me at the moment, but definitely up for this. It's unlikely to ever be easier for me to get to than this, so I haven't got any excuse in not making it. Plus I have never been to the transport museum, so it's the perfect excuse to finally go there.
  14. Not sure how this hasn't made it on here, but this Renault 5 looks like a bargain for £500 (even though the front windows don't work) https://www.gumtree.com/p/renault/renault-5-1165cc-1985-5-door/1352475125
  15. We knew it was going to happen, but the ULEZ is starting to kill off old shite, such as this A6. Poverty spec, 217k and has a fucking huge hole in the wing, but could a half decent WBOD for someone fortunate enough not to live in London. https://www.gumtree.com/p/audi/audi-a6.-1995.-estate-7-seater/1354465191
  16. Late pre-facelift Cavalier with rear arches made out of filler and Halfords spray paint. Tempting nonetheless. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/183978735766?_trksid=p2387834.m570.l5997&_trkparms=gh1g%3DI183978735766.N34.S2.R6.TR6
  17. Sunny estate in Dartford with a fresh MOT. Already got 14 bids on it with just under six days to go, so has attracted a fair bit of interest (understandable though). https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1986-Nissan-Sunny-Estate-1-5-Good-Condition-12-months-MOT-classic/123929863083?_trkparms=aid%3D1110001%26algo%3DSPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20131003132420%26meid%3D4ae6aa9bde064b15b97aff8487a7cd88%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dco%26sd%3D264488616370%26itm%3D123929863083%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2047675&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
  18. Tatty Allegro in dark beige, with a brown interior. This is without a shadow of doubt "Autoshite" personified. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Austin-Allegro-1300-Super/323939931758?hash=item4b6c53166e:g:o~kAAOSwtUFdmjkd
  19. Personally if it were me buying an old Audi I would have this, even though I would almost certainly spend half of my time in petrol stations having arguments with people about how it isn't a Quattro. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1985-AUDI-COUPE-B2-NO-RESERVE-NOT-AUDI-UR-QUATTRO/163894252413?hash=item2628dbd37d:g:grEAAOSwf9ddmZvG&autorefresh=true
  20. Dreadful chrome arches, not a single photograph with the entire car in the frame and no reference to why it is being sold as "spares or repairs", but someone in Scotland may find it appealing in some way (not sure how or why though). https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1147783
  21. Low mileage 620 on Car & Classic. Looks pretty decent, especially for £495, but makes you wonder when (or if ever) the Rover 600 will be appreciated. https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1161253
  22. In dire need of the wheel trims being frisbeed, but appears to be in decent shape compared to most Mk3 Escorts of this price point. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/G-Reg-1989-Ford-Escort-Estate-Diesel-Manual-5-Door-6-months-MOT-Classic/153653336714?hash=item23c673da8a:g:pysAAOSwvdBdh5ng
  23. It won't stay anywhere near the current price, but these 80s have aged brilliantly. 1.6 CL for bonus shite points too. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1985-Audi-80-1-6cl/264481391340?hash=item3d9451c2ec:g:S8EAAOSwzCZdjm8D
  24. For grimness, this has it beaten. Bottom of the range, keep fit windows, black bumpers, saloon, automatic, it it the gift that keeps on giving. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-MEGANE-CLASSIC-AUTOMATIC/202782983026?hash=item2f36cec372:g:Pf0AAOSwWo5dVSBd
