Good of people to help bub. Let's hope things pick up for him soon.my grump is that I normally give any old stuff to charity shops. My lad nags me to put it on eBay and "make some money". So I put a few bits on and sell them for a total of £40.00. So I am now rich. Except gets an email this week to say paypal has refunded the payments to the buyers because my PayPal acount is not set up or something. This is the same paypal account that I can even tonight buy stuff with..so I gave my stuff away really and just had to wrap it and answer loads of stupid questions about it and then post it. Going back to donating old stuff again.

I had that from the other end, I was refunded on some Pokemon cards I bought for my daughter. I messaged the guy and he was kin furious at ebay and PayPal. I sent him a cheque in the end but the poor bloke was a trader and was a few hundred quid out of pocket as most folk had counted it as a freebie despite it belonging to someone.

Yes paypal advised me to contact the buyers direct and arrange alternative payment. Not being rockefeller but I can't be arsed chasing people for it.

We were on the flying Scotsman today, after the cancellation last time we used the refund to go in the trip today.

Say behind us was a group of five (including a 12 year old I just felt sorry for) who were really loud most of the way (at points I couldn't hear Mrs the Princess who was say next to me).

An old boy asked them to keep the noise down that worked for a couple of minutes but they were whinging about that at Kings Cross so stupidly I ended up in a row with them asking them to be less loud than a 747 at take off.

 

In the end we just got a normal train back rather than suffer them even more drunk on the return diesel leg.

 

Got home and baby the Princess and beige1100 who was babysitting are being sick and now Mrs the Princess is coming down with it so we're having to miss the NEC tomorrow which is leaving the others on the Allegro club stand short staffed.

 

So all in all everything is shit.

Its remembrance day tomorrow. We don't have a war memorial here anymore as the wanker of a vicar decided its be easier to knockdown the church it was on than fix it. (apparently we still have it but in storage).

 

Just seen on Facebook a place I used to work has been abandoned and partly destroyed by scumbags. They must be so proud of themselves.

 

I know it's a stupid simple question to ask but why can't we all just get along and be happy instead of everything having to be a constant battle against ever mounting shit?

Sadly it’s usually because someone feels that can make a few quid out of it.

 

But whilst there are a load of shit bags out there, there are also loads of decent people - this place is the perfect example of that. I have met loads of people on here and without exception they are all great decent people.

Luckily it was only the number plate and wheel trim, petrol shifted it. But, because of the bastard Peugeot lion, paint is in the armpit of the lion and I can’t shift it all, plus the spray paint has marked the trim a little.

 

Anyway, thankfully they didn’t tag the actual car.

Ebay...someone just bidded my car up to an unrealistically high amount, look at the bidder, zero feedback signed up today

 

FFS, bid cancelled along with the 2nd highest bidder who only had 5 feedback and also had an unrealistically high max bid

Ebay is a real pain now as a seller. Had a "winning" bidder a couple of weeks ago that didn't pay, didn't respond to messages, didn't respond when I opened a case with Ebay. Why not just say you have changed your mind and don't want the bloody thing?

 

Current high bidder on another item of mine is someone who messaged me asking if I would ship to South Africa. No, that's why I made it a UK only listing. They haven't retracted their bid. Really hoping they get outbid (5 hours to go) otherwise that will be another arse ache.

I bought a battery for the granada. The round pole type because square pole type has now largely gone.

 

I also splashed out on two bosch adaptors. However I was not convinced it would work as + has a plate with various supplies bolted to it with not much room. I saw my arse and went back home and cooked a Sunday Dinner.

After putting my thinking cap on I took a power sander to the + clamp

This was done because feed to starter has a cross shaped tab.

 

 

I had to twist the block to get them on but it went together surprisingly well.

Car fired up straight away. It was a tad lumpy but even the tyres still had air in them.

Oil and filter next week then hibernation. Some granada porn -
