These aren’t bays because it’s just parking outside our blocks of flats on the road and after sending them a nice polite email we got an arsey reply back, will be speaking to councils housing and homeless department who told us we were fine to park our cars outside these flats but when we challenged them for not telling us about requiring permits because we had been ticketed they said “we didn’t think the wardens went round the residential streets so though you’d be ok for the couple of months or so you’d be there” so they can get them cancelled for us or pay the fuckers.

I think it applies to road parking too, I'll see if I can find what I was thinking of for you.

Just sold the Safrane. Actually a bit gutted it's gone.

And I viewed a mega early 306 today and I liked it, it drove really nice but can't decide if I want it...

Further to my snapped control arm bolt faffery today after getting some replacement bolts my 16kg tool kit fell out of the boot of the car I was using and right onto my toe. Have a nice bruise, pain and a limp for my efforts.

Had a letter today telling me im eligible for a blue badge. Marvellous stuff. Had help with pip claim too. Even better. Then i found out my car insurance is getting cancelled as its bounced and the bank stopping the overdraft on my account ive been practilly living out of. Things are going fucking fantastic now. Blue badge but no car,no car means no going out. Following in from that due to arrears on rent while waiting for benefits ive been issued a notice of possession on my house. On that note ive realised im fucking finished. You have all been a great bunch of folks here, unintentionally helping me through dark times with the banter and jokes.i wish all of you kind people the best through Christmas. Hopefully see you wonderful folks on the other side

No you’re not, dude.

A Notice just gives your landlord the right to take you to court - there's loads of steps they're obliged to take before it's anywhere close to being 'see you in Court'  time. 99% of the time, you can negotiate a payment arrangement right up to the day of any hearing, and even if you don't any judge worth his salt will also seek to get you a good arrangement. The fact you're waiting on benefits to come through will be taken into account, and I doubt it'll eve get to court. Social landlords can even give the DWP/HMRC a kick up the ass. Very very rare anyone'll lose the roof over their head these days.

Clayts450 is correct, especially if it's a housing association place, the NSP / Notice of Seeking Possession is something that has to be done as the first stage, but eviction is way down the line and very much a last resort. The notice can often be used as a lever to speed up any Housing Benefit claim etc and is cancelled once payment is received. I work for a housing association and we do our utmost to help people in this situation, the important thing is to speak to your landlord, let them know the situation and keep them informed.

Wishing you well fella

Dammit Bub that is shit. Can the DSS do an emergency payment? Do the bank know you are up to your eyes in it? They must have policies for this sort of situation.

Could one or both of you HA types please PM Bub direct to advise?  Ta very muchly.

At traffic lights today, side road to main road. Lights turn green and the cars pull away. Next thing this bloke on a pushbike just barrels across the side road as the cars are moving, just weaved his way through. How he didn't get hit is beyond me. Stupid cunt.

I'm at Estuary in Southend, Essex, mainly number crunching but I see how hard my colleagues work to keep people in their homes, and as long as people communicate with us, most things can be sorted

I've also pm'd bub

Neil - which one mate. I'm at Metropolitan.

Correct - social housing landlords rarely re-possess for rent arrears. Now, anti-social behaviour on the other hand....

^ All the best Bub.

I still chuckle that you managed to successfully bring my MR2 rear quarter to Cornwall with you, in amongst all your holiday gear.

Things will look up again - chin up, chap.
