Harris is great. Problem is Joe Public are thick as fuck, and someone describing how a car feels and handles would be of no interest. Hence the need for the other two imbeciles.

Random fact, Harris sliding a GT86 around Wales made me buy one.

I really haven’t liked the last iteration of Top Gear . I agree Chris Harris is good but you then had two idiots, Freddie a likeable idiot but Paddy is far too annoying one , and was only ever funny when Peter Kay was writing his lines.

I think the first post Clarkson version could have worked. I’m not a Chris Evans fan but he came across as someone with a genuine passion for cars. The twat from friends was the problem for me and Sabine was terribly under utilised despite being by far the most talented  driver and presenter there.

Eddie Jordan didn’t contribute much either.

My Xsara (proper Xsara, these blobby stupid twats make finding parts so damn hard 20+ years later 😡) is the same age... I don't class it as old 🤣

I won't hear a bad word said against Xsara Picassos, my mum had three of them and they were GR9.

I know, I've known a few on here who have had them and liked them and I trust their opinions. I'd rather have a Fiat multipla I think...

Considering the fact I bagged a sub 40k mile Xsara Picasso for £600 last year that has been utterly trouble free apart from a slight power steering leak, I think I can vouch for the people that swear by them!

Years ago I always turned my nose up at them but now they're not brand new I've realised how good they actually are

Most of the bad ones have been killed off by now so the ones that are left mainly seem to be pretty good examples.

I've never thought of selling it, it's just too useful

The people writing that article might well be paying £300 a month for some sort of financed modern blob which they either don't own at the end of it or they do end up owning it and it shits itself ££££ big time

Idiot almost lost one of the keys.  if it is let out to uninterested fuckwits then it may not be around much longer.

Rally co-driver calls

Reading from notes rally drivers prepare with their co-driver or navigator before the stage so the driver is told (in code for brevity)  what's next on the road so maximum warp can be obtained.

Alex Robbins is actually a thoroughly decent bloke, despite what you'd expect after knowing who his employers are.

the Scottish Spirting Car Club invited their members to design a new layout for an autotest - with predictable results :)

I thought this was a good, rally-based Colin McRae / Richard Burns / Peter Solberg / Impreza comment until........

Speaking of rallying I'm on a job in Ceredigion (west Wales) today.  Came past all the service vans for the RAC classic with interesting old tat everywhere.  Saw Stratos, Kadette, Starrion, 911s and loads of MK2 Escorts.

Last running coincided with storm Arwin(?) and left competitors (including Chris Harris) stranded in their cars overnight. Hopefully this one will be a bit less eventful.

I only found out at the last knockings that this was taking place this week when @catsinthewelder mentioned it - I'm not a big rally fan but there's a couple of good clubs around here and they have cars of all sorts. Good day out to watch (if it's not raining).
I couldn't find any info on viewing arrangements for R.A.C - I was in a hurry but their online presence is, err, underwhelming. Maybe they could take a leaf out of https://www.raliceredigion.co.uk/ ?
