Using "like" in every sentence is hardly the preserve of the Irish these days - pretty much everyone under the age of 35 is at it.

Yeah, no. At the end of the day, if you know what I mean, and, with the greatest respect I fully understand what you are trying to say. Init?

I have a copy of "The Young Detective's handbook" from 1981 and it notes in the "Disguises" section that young people are likely to use "y'know" and "like" a lot.

Up Scotland with the 107. Fully loaded and 70mph where allowed. Turned 90k while we're away too.

Tell me again why everyone doesn't have one?

For a reliable, cheap to run car they cant be beaten in my opinion. It's just a pity they dont have enough comfort for me now, and are not capable of towing a caravan.

I think they're comfortable enough. Did 260 miles to Bromyard a couple of months back and got out feeling fresh enough without stopping.

I wonder what the towing weight is. 🤣

Unsafe. What'll happen if you crash into something while browsing Facebook in the middle lane at 100mph? Need an SUV mate.

I'm only* getting about 56 out of mine but then I'm not the most economical driver and the exhaust blow from the manifold probably isn't helping either.

It's not 18 foot long with a 5.2 litre V8 in.

Plus they only sold them in Brazil. They didn't bother with it here, the smallest thing they sell right now in that car bracket is the Fit

I usually drive it flat out but with partner and the kids on board I haven't been going over 70 or hooning forthat matter. Very boring though.

Your economy isn't shot to shit with gas, electric and fuel prices going through the roof.

There's time yet.

It's getting there.

Price of fuel has gone back down. Though, believe me, I would prefer to drive something that does better fuel economy but having owned one, life is too short to not have torque.

I've had fast cars most of my life but the roads are just too busy. It's nowt to do with fuel prices really. This I can drive flat out 90% of the time. It reminds me of the 1990 mini cooper I had about ten years ago.

What's the smallest car you regularly see on the roads in the States?  Did they sell the Chevrolaewoo Spark over there?

Enterprise list them as their smallest car but you get Elantra or corolla or versa although visiting Phil they gave me a fiesta

No way will you get a 107 sized car ( sadly)

108 did 54 thrashed to Germany and back the other week

From the big named brands, the smallest new car I have seen is the Fit.

Used to be the Smart ForTwo but those aren't really new any more.

I bought one for my son when he turned 17. Bought it in North London and drove it back to Scotland, not hammering it as it was brand new and often slip-streaming lorries, but mostly 60mph, it did 75mpg.

Nah, they just need to make sure they crash into my tinfoil cinquecento and they’ll walk away.
