Mmmm, bet they do their level best to avoid paying British taxes as well.....

yes they were actually one of the first companies in the UK to manage it, it's good to see they excel at something.

I have had no work for a month and nothing till bloody April. I'm starting to get cabin fever.

80% of my work over the last 6 years has been for the same client but now it's over until then.

All my clients from before have long given up on calling and have found someone else. So lost

for me.

If anybody knows of someone who could use a carpenter, decorator, tiler, kitchen fitter and general

home improvement bloke, let me know. A good AS discount would apply.

Add a link to that porch you constructed as a testament to your skills.

2 days of working with my firm’s branch of The English Defence League has left me emotially and mentally drained

I shared an office with a fully paid up member of the BNP for 6 months.

I see on LinkedIn that he's been heading up the firm's China operation for 10 years.

Hope* he's okay and up to date with his flu* jabs

Yea I could do that. Hadn't thought along those lines. I've always worked on word of mouth and never

needed to show any of my work. In fact that porch was the first time I had taken pics of anything

from start to finish. I'm a late 'developer' in the digital photography world. The spanner, (10 mm obvs),

in the works is I haven't a clue how to do a link. It has been explained to me once but it seems that is not

enough to lodge itself in my head. I iz quite crap wiv computies.

Cheers for the support Mally. It's the knowing I am not alone that makes it all worthwhile.

I’d quite happily send to China the 2 blokes with whom I’ve been working just so they get some fresh* air.

I have never met anyone as racist, misogynistic and homophobic as these two. I daren’t tell them there is some German lineage in my family, they’d probably call me Führer.

Have asked not to work with them again.

My 94 year old neighbour is a Tory, bigot, with xenophic anti European views.

He has mild dimensia.

I pop in every now and then, and remind him he thinks Brexit is stupid, and Homosexuality is okay, if both parties are consenting. And there's no such think as Benefit Scum.  I pretend that he told me that  all yesterday, in proper gaslighting fashion.  I occasionally take him the Guardian, which confuses him, because he seems to remember he used to read the Mail.

Am i bad ? He likes the company.

Two wrongs probably don't make a right etc, but when we got really racist drivers in at work one of us would say our wife was the same colour/creed/religion they'd just spent ages slagging off. The backtracking was a sight to behold,  'not all of them are like that/my old neighbour was Indian/French/half-penguin/etc, great bloke'

I'm not sure if I know whether it is or not.

20 years on and the delightful sound of reverse gear being scrambled for when I introduce the wife never gets old. It goes someway towards compensating for the beatings that I had for the very same reason.

...more likely they'd tell you how much they admired what the Führer did for Germany, and how Britain needs strong leadership,  etc.

When I was about 16 I went out with a girl whose parents fostered kids. A lot of them were from Nigerian families.

When I was out with them I used to get called 'nigger lover' quite a lot, which was quite an eye opener.

One time Del was waiting to cross the road and a car slowed down to let her cross. She waved and set off but then the driver saw she was with a black child and literally drove right at them, she had to jump out of the way.

Absolutely mental.

Now that would not surprise me, though they were singing the praises of the current PM.

The more racist of the two won't acknowledge our Bajan driver and his son (mixed race). I think his tolerances to others went past that point decades ago. His brother is the total opposite and will talk to people then make judgement based on character not colour, race etc.

3 months til he retires. And council. He doesn't say anything where he knows he might get heard; in the cab travelling it all comes out.

But he's a resident typical of my area. There is hardly any ethnic variance, most of the residents (as I have stated many times before) are gammons and giffers who read the Daily Mail.

When I lived on the outskirts of Bognor there was a bit more tolerance, but back home in Kent there was a huge population of Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi etc background and most people got on well together.

And people still think hi visibility is a must to make you visible on the road. It’s no good if the muppets aren’t looking.
