I can think of a few occasions it'd have been seen as too lenient.

 

Such as the yoblet who knocked an old granny over while cycling through a pedestrian area at twat-like speeds years ago. No plod needed at the time though as I made a grab for him as he went past & happened* to get the front brake with results you can guess. I wish my reactions where still that good.

Saw a Magistrates Court report 2-3 years ago where the defence to driving without lights (one of a long list of offences) was that they are automatic and so it was the manufacturer’s fault they didn’t come on. While I and many others hope idiots like that should never get a driving licence there is a sizeable minority who will doubtless be in agreement with the offender, will know every last nuance of the ‘infotainment system’ and other driver distraction devices but will be clueless about turning lights and wipers on (or checking levels and tyre pressures......).

There was a middle-aged man on yesterday asking what a car he'd spotted was. It was a Ford fucking Granada. Unbelievable.

Every door is stoved in, the front passenger door glass is now a plastic sheet taped in place, one of the bumper corners has been ripped off.  I don't know what's happened but it looks like someone has taken umbrage at it and beaten seven shades of shit out of the poor thing.

I think it’s a bug - my phone currently shows that Bluetooth is turned off (icon is grey in the control centre and there’s no Bluetooth symbol next to the battery) yet my watch still works.....
