Bike is write off but apart from a dislocated thumb and bruised & bent everything he was lucky.

Got bruises and aches in place that he aint got places.

Nothing broken.

Glad he is ok Dave, hopefully the Bike can be replaced!

I hate the A127, like a league of twats in fast german motors all seeing who can get from Southend to the M25 in 7 minutes flat.

Reminds me of this clip I saw yesterday (7:39 onwards if it doesn't go there automatically)

Not that I'd filter that fast, but seeing as he was doing he had plenty of space to aim at. Nothing to see, nothing worth talking about - certainly not when balanced against the amount of entitled and borderline homicidal behaviour I see from car drivers when I'm out and about.

TBH Mr Bulldog in the car just looks like one of those who would be seeking the tiniest excuse to smash your head in for Looking At Me In A Funny Way.

I think you were lucky with your escort van bub . They are usually horrible , slow and rotten

+98, I think you were lucky to walk away from that one but they are hateful things, we had several at work and they were all the above with plus rattly, unrefined and uncomfortable with the handling finesse of a pissed up rhino, buy a blingo instead, they are brilliant vans and a million times better than a ropey old escort.

I found mine handled ok,yea it was slow and rot is usually a given but mine was ok luckily. Maybe next time wouldnt be as good? Thinking of dispatch, expert, scudo size next time.

Whatever you get, if it's anything other than the Prince of all car derived vans, The Ford Escort, then for the love of God you need to budget for a roll cage.

Not even slightly car related, but...

What sort of a man* thinks it's acceptable to call an 18 year old waitress a cunt ? Not once but about 20 times, because he was served the wrong type of potato !

Apparently this happened when all the other customers and the kitchen staff had gone home , leaving just my daughter and the ( tiny) manageress were in the building. They phoned the Police, but as it was a Saturday night they couldn't attend. I had a missed call, but I was working in London.

Anyway he eventually left , she thinks to go to the Jury's Inn Hotel next door.

My plan to wait outside the hotel this morning with daughter to identify him, then invite him to see how many times he can call me a cunt before he loses consciousness is childish overreacting, apparently.

Have you seen the pics of Bubs old van? He can tell the story from personal experience in great detail.

No thanks haven't we had enough of praising scrote vans, I personally would rather it was never mentioned again let the past stay in the past.

Bub and let's not forget chompy are extremely lucky men, back in 1999 my mate was taken to heaven in one of these shit heaps, it folded up like paper and placed the engine in the front seats.

My own fault, I choose to look at it, but Facebook (again). Specifically the local car selling groups.

Wanted: moon on a stick. My budget is £x, so please increase your asking price to suit.

What does everyone have, I need a car that I can rely on as I need it for school runs and after school activities, needs to have a years mot on it and lower mileage the better but I am open to see what everyone has. Looking to buy this week

She'll be back next week to complain that the seller fleeced her into buying a car which might need some consumables replacing at some point in the future.

Yes. It got smacked up the arse when already moving and we all know the rest.

Plough it into the back of something, get T-boned or even repeat the same accident again, and the results will not be so happy.

It is an Escort van. They hardly score 5 stars for occupant safety.

They are alright as a cheapo load lugger, but lets no go thinking they are something they are certainly not.

Had a look at my sister's 2013 Fiat Panda earlier, as she said it was making a strange noise.

It is indeed. Like a rubber running over metal noise. Looked into the engine bay while it was running and could see that the pulley down the back, below the air con compressor, wasn't turning. I can't even tell what it is, as everything's down the bloody back of the engine! I wondered if it was the alternator, but there are no warning lights to indicate low charging etc. but being a modern, maybe it doesn't have that warning light. Who knows...

She says she'll go past the garage tomorrow.

What an absolute knobjockey. Hardly overreacting btw Rich, I would have done exactly the same thing had she been my daughter.

Hate twats like him.

It wasmt a head on. I was rammed from behind which caused van to go arse over face numerous times then roll over and land side on facing oncoming traffic. The engine was out, gearbox was too and rear wheel was at back of drivers seat. It did hold up very well but i do agree to some degree that perhaps another one wouldnt hold out too well worse case scenario and i kniw i was very lucky. Perhaps its better devil you know after all and black out kia windows and drop seats as its near as large in the back anyway
