I ain't bragging. Its fucking awful. 😂

45 degrees where we were today. Absolutely unbearable. ImpJr was feeling sick and nearly keeling over.

It was so hot I wasn't able to drink any booze which has resulted in an uncomfortable level of soberness thats making the whole experience worse, as it all becomes ever so slightly more bearable each day once I've got my first morning pint down me but I just couldn't do it today.

Sure other people are thinking thats nowt etc but I just hate hot weather. I wish we'd just gone to Torquay. I've managed to avoid going abroad for a few years but relented this year as ImpJr wanted to but I think he's up for never doing anything like this again too thank god. Although that might not be the heat, might just be because of my constant fucking moaning getting on his tits. 😂

Yeah we get it you’re on holiday and it’s not raining.

Had 25c a few days ago and it was bad enough, 45c and I would have killed myself. The weather changed and it was now 15c today it is very pleasant and how it should be.

We have this forecast for the next week at least.

The Met Office are already talking about seeding the clouds for rain to help the farmers.

15C?
We're on the last night of a short break in Cumbria. 13C has been the highest temperature all week and we had hailstones yesterday and today.  Be OK if we were at a darts tournament  or the like but we're outdoors all day getting lost in forests. Packing up tomorrow morning looks to be fun* too:

It was 24 last weekend here in Kendal, it’s the usual Cumbrian weather, shit basically, winter never ends and summer is about 4 days long, apart from Covid lockdown number 1 where it was above 25 for four weeks.

We're right bang on the border* this morning and it's still dry!
Not sure why we'd expect it to me much different to where we are in Wales but, you can only hope :-)

*further grump -  stood astride the border yesterday. The rain stopped and the wee bastard midges were out in a flash. I'll swear blind they were  wearing kilts and squeaking 'Freedom!'

Apparently Taylor Swift is in Edinburgh for 3 gigs. BBC Radio Scotland has never stopped talking about all day.

Son's garage broken into during the night and his Triumph Street Triple and two mountain bikes stolen.

We think they were after his Yamaha touring bike but it was chained up.  The Triumph doesn't run, he was renovating it.

Four padlocked bolts on the door, two outside and two inside.  Padlocks cut off the outside bolts and the inside ones crowbared out.

He and girlfriend going to Switzerland on the Yamaha next week.

Seems to be a smart woman, a decent person and very attractive but her music does nothing for me.

The other Taylor (Momsen) is a different story.

Same here. Inoffensive poppy music, don’t hate it but couldn’t even be bothered to go as far as asking Alexa to play her. Really can’t see what the fuss is about.
Momsen? No idea.

Is Taylor Swift not the one who uses a private jet to fly to Japan to pick up some sushi and has a CO2 footprint bigger than Latvia?

One of his neighbours, who I fortunately have known for decades, has some evidence on her security camera where they can be sen wheeling the mountain bikes away.

And I found a clip on my dashcam where there were three teenagers purportedly wanting to wash the Maxi outside his neighbour's garage a couple of days ago.

Unlikely as it hasn't moved in five years, the windscreen is shattered (rust on the frame).  The tyres are flat, there is rust raining from it and it is covered in moss and birdshit.  The police may be able to identify them.

Believe me, this is honestly the best way with stuff like this.  Otherwise you end up like me with a dozen laptops and half a dozen iMacs randomly distributed around the house.  Or you need a special shed with reinforced shelves like @Markeh...

I cannot eat cuts of pork as it makes me quite ill. I can have the occasional pork pie though.

I had one today. The dog got some of the filling but my god I was glued to the toilet.

In fact it was like shoes falling out of a loft.

To look at any media outlet in the last few weeks, you'd think she was the only thing that existed or mattered in the fucking world!  WE DON'T GIVE A SHIT.

I can't even argue with this because this is the back of my car right now. All collected from a shop in Somerset.

That is not a hobby, nor an interest.

That's hoarding.

Quite a few people on here need to be told that.

I've just spent the past several months dealing with my dad's hoarding, and have turned a large farm shed from a no go area into a usable workshop area. There's still a long way to go, too.

I'm sorry about your arse ( I share your pain believe me)

However "shoes falling out of a loft" analogy is superb, really made me laugh 😃

I mean, I call it a business that's making me money, to be honest, but each to their own!

I could (and have considered) quite easily put the entire contents of that shed on Ebay in one job lot tomorrow. I have no attachment to any of it. It is here temporarily until it is either sold, parted out or binned. To me, that isn't hoarding.

I'm sure Neil Tennant is responsible for a lot of catchy tunes...
