Baby needs surgery, absolutely gutted 😑

Spent the last week in and out of hospitals meeting different pediatricians/specialists just to be told the same thing we already knew.

Poor kid has had more pills than a junkie over the last 5 months and nout has worked so surgery looks like the only option.

Mentally exhausted with this shit.

I hope things can get better for you, I can't imagine what it must be like. You will find the strength.

Might be worth setting off one of those 'Air Con Bombs' (less exciting than they sound) in the car potentially? It might have had a previous owner who vaped with the recirculated air turned on, and the insides of the dashboard pipework is covered in a thin film of condensed vegetable glycerin vapour, which is going mouldy?

This happened to a colleague who vapes, and his car ended up smelling fully rank, a couple of AC Bombs sorted though.

Can someone explain why Donald Trump is so popular? How the fuck is it that he's going to be allowed to run for office

Does nobody look at his moral compass and think, "No. We should not vote for a misogynistic criminally intent narcissistic crazy cunt"

And Biden? Look, I think the other side could have picked a better person to lead the USA. Not someone who clearly is tired out by it all.  He will loose against trump, because the USA is mad.

I'm actually grumpy because I have convinced myself that the UK is as Bad and the idiots will vote the Tories in for another 5 years of shit.

(Not that it won't be shit under labour, but at least the ones I've actually met, seem to have a social consciousness)

I know it not the politics thread, but it's making me grumpy.

You've answered your own question, I think:

I've had this and can't get rid of it. The air con bombs cover it for a couple of weeks but I feel like I need to get inside the dash and scrub the condenser and heater matrix with bleach. I've tried most of the potions you squirt in from every angle eg behind cabin filter and through a/c drain hole. The latest one being a foamy thing that sits on the aforementioned HVAC parts and is supposed to decontaminate it...

Every year at Christmas, we buy a box of Ritz crackers. Like this year, these are often ignored and usually binned months later - but wife had 'the munchies' last night so we opened them. WTF have they done to them? Tasted nothing like we remember, that lovely salty tang has completely gone.

Bit of a series....

Yesterday I left home at 6am for a journey to Peterborough, which would normally take 2.5 hours, possibly 2.75 including a stop either at Cambridge services for a wee and a McD's or Brampton for a wee and a Wendys.

M25 had other ideas, gantry signs say J29-28 30minute delay.....

I pulled into the pez station at Stanstead at 8.15, which is normally no more than 50 minutes away, even in the van. No sign of any crashes, road works or other fuckery. Why can't the gantry signs tell the truth - I'd have found an alternative route, rather than sit there like a dick.

Anyway, left meeting at 2.15pm, as I was going to the O2 last night to see Depeche Mode. More gantry signs warning of impending delays, so I diverted - trouble is so did everyone else. I reckon I was still ahead of the game, but not by much. Collected Moose, then chum, drove to Forest Gate to collect other chum, and get on the tube. Yeah, in the ULEZ, but whatever.

Fancy a beer" said Chum One. Two pints of Budweiser and a large Pepsi Max.... nigh on £23. FFS.

(DM were GR9 btw).

Massive queue to get into Tube Station, got back to Chum 2's house 00:20. Which, as I found out about an hour ago, means I've got to pay ULEZ for yesterday and today, despite it being one trip. FFS.

Lastly, just been out to get some bread and fizzy pop, and encountered an absolute throbber verbally abusing a female member of staff, who was clearly getting distressed. I asked him to calm down, to which I got the standard "Fuck off you fat cunt" response.

Well mate, you need to google "Fuck around and Find Out" to explain what just happened. I'm tired, you're an arsehole. With a fat lip and a fucking headache.

Why are people such twats?

At lower levels politics is so mind numbingly dull that most people just can’t be arsed.
Corruption and money can go a long way to bypassing that , either way you get people running your country that you wouldn’t piss on if they were on fire but they have a major say in how you life goes.

Politics

It's like a night out on the beers and curry.

You have to choose which end to hang over the toilet.

Either choice is not great.

Welcome to the polls here.

That looks like a decent channel, but...is he filming on a hand-held phone while driving at times?  If so, he's a dick.

He's got a chest harness for a Gopro I think.

He's got quite a few interesting old transits he's working on as well.

I use ritz crackers for making pork or veal escalopes / snitchel.

I presume mostly this was for insurance so that everything is recorded, and it’s put on YouTube as a secondary income.

I think there’d be less cuntery about if more people got punched in the face for it.

Inevitable is unfolding on Twitter/X

Chris Pollitt has another episode of depression. Crowdfunder tries to raise a few bob for him. Accidentally raises nearly £20,000. Car is quickly restored and immediately on the market at a chunky price. Folk feel a bit aggrieved.

Anyone who raises an eyebrow will be quickly shut down.

I try to see everything positively, but it all feels a bit charlatan.

Why the fuck? I don't know much about it but it's fuck all to do with them.

It is not the same as tyres on an old Renault.

A bloke I sort of knew charged his i3 up for a few years at my old business centre doing similar. He rented a tiny 10x10 office (bills included) for £200 a month and slung an extension cable out of the window.  Inside the office he had a rack of  computers mining bitcoin which more than paid for the rent. He only got found out about the charging when they cut all the bushes back and found his hidden cable
