The Spanish government gave Deliveroo an ultimatum in 2021

They did because of a new (at the time) law. However other food couriers still work in Spain (Glovo, and Uber Eats .....maybe others). Some say with lights too.😉

ley de 'riders' said that  the workers who are  delivering will be salaried and not self-employed . It guarantee the labour rights. It also says something about making the algorithms more transparent.

An ex work colleague was over the moon with his new one on PCP until I pointed out the motor was finest renault - he suddenly looked as if somebody had shit in his slippers.

Friend of mine recently bought this. Cannot begin to tell you how fucked off I am that he got it. Especially from those thieving no good pricks.

Just had my garage broken into. Luckily there was almost nothing there as I have only just moved and my stuff was still stored elsewhere!

All the other garages in the row appear to be untouched so I'm hoping they just noticed the house had someone new so they decided to break in to see if anything was there

Oh shit, what a lovely* welcome to your new abode. Might be worth asking neighbours if it's happened before, to maybe get some reassurance before putting your valuables in it.

Not paying attention, hit a pavement extrusion and put a hole in the sidewall of a two month old Hankook tyre, grrrr 🤬

They're all shocked and say they've never heard of it happening there!

Saw this in Sainsbury's on Thursday night, while it was still technically August.

I work in distribution for another chain and we’ve been dealing with some Christmas lines since early July. It doesn’t do much for your festive spirit.

I like it when the Back to School stuff is on the shelves before they break up in July - used to make our kids grumpy.

We also usually have our first delivery of Easter eggs a week or two before Christmas.

Bah humbug indeed.

It’s gradually been getting earlier. In the 80s I worked in a supermarket during my Uni summer holiday. Christmas stuff came in just before I went back to Uni at the end of September. Now it’s into August.
Why? Not even fanatical Xmassers ( I don’t think that’s a word), aren’t going to use any of it until at least mid November, so why would you buy it in August just to store it for 3 months?

Not sure that shops are doing themselves any favours anyway. Home Bargains had cleared all their gardening stuff away weeks ago in favour of Halloween tat.( rapidly followed by Xmas). I’m sure they must have lost as many sales on gardening as they made with people desperate for a polystyrene pumpkin.

Slipped down the top few steps earlier. Managed to hurt my shoulder again.

Trying to lay in bed watching the TV and it's like being stabbed in the back.

Facebook market place.

Are there ANY genuine car ads on there?

There are loads of underpriced cars (sometimes vastly underpriced) and when you look at the sellers other items there is about 20 underpriced cars. All listed today.

I guess they are cloned accounts that get removed and are back again with the same pictures on another account the next day.

Pay a deposit to hold the "bargain" and the deposit, the car and the seller immediately vanish?

there is a TVR  which triggers my watch list 3 times a week, always £4995, (arguably a third of its value) always a different part of the country, always the same  photo.

I'm sharp enough to know it's a scam at that price for that car but some of the camper vans I wouldn't know the true value, or some of the commercials.

Bastards.

When I was looking at BMW i3s and Renault Zoes I gave up on FB Marketplace completely because almost all of the ads were scams.  Amperas didn't seem to suffer to the same extent, perhaps because they're a bit more obscure.

Hadn’t heard anything about this from my in-laws and curious to see what their imaginary proper plumber thought of my work, spoke to my FIL about 1/2 hour ago and he said they didn’t get chance to get anyone else to look at it ( surprise surprise) but the repair seems ok and anyway they can just get my wife to send me back and sort it out again if there’s any issues. Apparently I’m “the Jack of all trades but master of non”

my in-laws do enjoy their petty torment’s

what is it with retards on BMW motorbikes thinking they are valentino rossi whilst their boyfriend/son (could be one n the same around this neck of the woods) fuckwits in matching leathers for their kawasaki's, thinking its a good idea to get as close as they can to other road useres whilst overtaking at very high speed on bends or just being fucktards in general because they ride motorbikes with v large engines to compensate for having tiny cocks.....? I always thought BMW (along with any audi and small red sporty fiesta things) car drivers were the fuckwit bad drivers but it seems they've moved onto 2 wheels now...... apologies for any grandad BMW drivers on here that actually drive  as per the HWC (indicators et al ) ;-)

I hope you made it clear that the only use you will be is to tell then they need to pay a man as you don't have the experience or qualifications and it's a very big job beyond you.
