The other half was driving a 4 door mk2 golf gti 8v when I met her and I was driving a 3 door 16v. It was obviously meant to be.

I always thought the Scirocco could’ve done with powered steering after having a Mk2 16V. My experience with the Scirocco timeline was odd too. I had a late 80s fuel injected model and my next was an early 90s carb. I felt like I was going backwards in terms of tech. Great cars though and the Corrado should have carried the name on imo, especially as it looked like a modern Mk1.

Keep the spoiler, bung on a set of slot mags and drive. I hardly ever see one of these on the road in NI, plenty at shows though. I think most of them live in carcoons over here only to be seen during peak bling season. Possibly the only thing over here more popular than the AE86.

I did watch and enjoy this back when it came out but the subsequent videos have sorely missed a ‘Mike’ and it made me realise that the contrasting styles were really what made Wheeler Dealers work imo. That said, I haven’t watched it regularly for years, I get all of my car content from YouTube now.

Agreed. I watched Jonny Smith interview him and came away from that liking him quite a bit. For balance I tried for quite a while to get into Edd’s solo stuff on YouTube and found it unbearably dull.

I’m only joking. I was undecided about fitting it or putting a roller pedal on for a while and I think the Bigfoot will need fettling to get on properly.

If you have one for a while your driving style adapts to the gear box. I always found them an engaging drive and if the shift does annoy you, you can drive around it with the paddles or in manual mode very effectively. The roadster gearbox feels quite different to the fortwo as well not to mention our last one had a DSG box that was almost as decent as the current one in our VW. Ofc I love them as a car so biased. 😊

You’re making me feel very lazy. I’ve had a cheap Bigfoot pedal in the garage for about 18 months and I haven’t even got around to fitting it yet. 😄
