^^^ have that lots whilst waiting for someone to shift so I can get to the LPG pump, then appear to be doing nothing but lean on it when I'm there (clue you need to hold the button in continually)

Yep dodge rover had that at Darnell in Sheffield wagon on disel pump driver in it but waiting for his mate stocking up on yorkies so I get down side as I'm blocking entrance to other empty pumps.

Start filling then Yorkie boy comes sauntering across glareing & shaking his head, so I look back & say only lpg pump they've got, don't help when people do their shopping instead of vacating pumps like the signs say.

Sheepishly climbs in cab.

SCC's comment reminds me of when I was driving 7.5 tonners. Some bum nugget in a ytruck blocked the entrance to a factory in Wem off and when I asked him to move, he refused.

I managed to get past with my trolley through a side entrance, not before I'd backed up to his shit arsed Swedish light parade though. When I got back he asked me to move so I just told him I was on a tacho break and couldn't. It seemed like the longest 15 minutes of his life the way he paced up and down muttering to himself before revving the bollocks off his truck.

Dear Lord.  I think we've identified another subject we really should just agree not to discuss.  Politics, religion and Comic Fucking Sans.

See that blue glow on the houses behind?

33a7bbb9e400e9cb3ec3f64e2e3efa31.jpg

That's the glow of fire engines. 4 in-fact, plus 2 fire Marshall cars. Smoke Janeen billowing up from a house just over there for a while. They've been there a good 2 hours now and smoke is still billowing up.

Had a quick wander/nosy past earlier. The house has no windows now and the crew were just suiting up with breathing apparatus. No police or ambulances, so fingers crossed no one is hurt or injured.

The smoke was foul tasting and nasty, even from a distance. Given the age of the house, I dread to think what noxious chemicals are in the air.

Fingers crossed it's only property damage.

Detoured past the house this morning, I think it was their attached garage as the door was half open and crispy this morning. Looks like their house possibly is ok (apart from probably smoke damage). Garage fire is something I always worry about, especially when doing metal work. As I intend to work inside the garage in the new place I probably need to make sure I take extra precautions. Especially from welding fumes and smoke from when things smoulder.

There's nothing to discuss, it should be banned.

And it’s fantastic for kids with learning disabilities as it’s much closer to hand writing.

Both my other half and I are dyslexic.  She finds Comic Sans easy to read and this is the only justification for its existence that is reasonable.

Airport valet parking.

I understand I'm not the tallest so you may have to move my seat back a few inches for your drive to and from the compound, but do you really need to change the height, seat back angle, interior mirror, both exterior mirrors, dash light intensity and retune the radio to drive the bloody thing 2 miles?

It's probably been used as a taxi for the last week

Oil filter change on an MX5 NA, what a right PITA !

Meh, just requires dexterity and eyes on the end of you fingers.

Not nearly as painful and sweary as a 2001 Bini Cooper.

your donation of door sealing strip has worked wonders on the back door ....

it no longer shakes the house when it is "gently" closed

and I have just spent nearly 30 spondolies on another coil pack .... hope that fixes the misfire ....

but when I did the swap

some one had been there before !!!!

A Pela pump is the way to go, made short work of my daughter's Mini oil change.

Am on zero hours. Got text at 8.39am for shifts today, rung, booked in. Had to go out, n drive, so turned phone off for 1 hour while out. Get back, phone on. Text 45 min earlier saying our system crashed, we lost all bookings, please ring to re book. Just rung, got the pre recorded message saying no shifts available, in otherwords, they've all gone. Brill.

Might as well go for a walk then.

FFS bloody computerised systems, cant they back it up with screenshots or written notes? Jesus wept.

Sorry to hear this. They should be able to do backups but probably can't be arsed setting them up or spending the money to do so.

Why would they, there's enough demand for the work they don't need to care.

- not my view.

My 30w CFL bulb died this evening. Had this for must be at least 10yrs now. Nice and bright (once warmed up) and daylight colour was useful when doing electronics. One of those lighting technologies that didn't last that long (thankfully). I imagine many have been chucked out from people getting fed up waiting for them to warm up.

Sad times.

Last rental place I stayed in was riddled with these, they seemed like a really good idea when it was built in 2004 clearly.

My wife has just bought and wrapped the last.

We'll be writing the cards soon, she can't stand all this last minute bollocks.

Are you thinking of the CFL Light Pendants that only take the 4pin CFL bulbs? My old bulb was just a standard Bayonet Cap job luckily.

Yeah that’s them. You can still buy them in a few places thankfully*

Spoilt for choice for a nice replacement if it’s just a standard fitting :)
