Edited because whilst Andy is clearly a twat, the others don't impress much.

That's a lot of effort for an extra 20bhp!

I was thinking much the same without actually knowing the numbers. But a Rover V8 is not that powerful is it? About 165hp in the P5/6 wasn't it. It'll make a nice noise but as you say a lot of effort for very little gain. I guess it's one of those things somebody fancied doing just for the hell of it.

Yes it is and a turbo engine from a 940 would be less work and more power.

Looks like a tap has been fitted in the oil feed line, doubtless to stop the oil tank draining into the crankcase.

One day you are going to forget to turn that tap before starting the engine which will seize up shortly afterwards.

Hacker Engineering? Best example of nominative determinacy I’ve seen for a while.

And since when has a random “K” plate been a “private plate”? I can’t see anything valuable about it, unless it’s a sign that the builder should have been locked up.

I wouldn’t even give that space on @grizz’s drive. 🤣

Careful, that's @richardmorris's next door neighbour you're talking about there.

That's hacksaw engineering - when you cut off the roof with a hacksaw...🤣

Having owned a 100 as an 18 year old, I have no desire to repeat the experience.  However, nice hue and lex plates.

This could be a nice winter project; running by spring ready for chips at the beach etc.

They still don’t actually work for a living. I’m reminded of Douglas adams - Mostly Harmless.
