Today I learned that a small knob of butter in when you're boiling spuds stops the foam in the water. So it doesn't come pissing out from under the lid.

Fairly chill and they seem open to me doing a 9 day fortnight, plus they close an hour early on Friday anyway.

9 day fortnight sounds decent - have done it before and nice having the long weekend

that’s absolutely identical to the one my parents still have 

barring a thermocouple it’s never given a moments bother, it’s been on continuously since September now

This one worked till the end , but the fire and gas tap leaked .  The hot water boiler failed and it all got replaced with a combi ..

Went for a walk at Lenzie Moss whilst waiting on the Burd arriving by train...

It's an old peat bog that is handily located next to the station. About 2.5k for a loop, and it has deer kicking about.

Definitely not the worst vista near a station..

According to the BBC, Metropolitan Police have been unable to find the driver of a Seat Leon travelling at 164mph!
