Roadtrip coming up in a few weeks time. I think I overshare a bit on here sometimes, but if anyone is interested in this roadtrip, I can start a new thread. Destination is somewhere off the beaten track and I'm going to attempt it in something saucy.

New thread?

Yes!

Just watched this happen in front of me oppostie Meadowell first school in Shields. Wheel came off the trailer and twatted that orange nissan. Loads of water gushing from it. Suspect washer fluid tank. The drum is still attatched to the wheel so suspect bearing failure.
It seemed to happen is slow motion weirdly. Just checked my dashcam and the memory card has become corrupted ffs.

That reminds me of a previous life working at a garage. Daewoo Matiz drives in, woman complaining of a noise. Workmate jumps in, goes to put it on the two poster only for the wheel to bigger off, also with the drum still attached!

Lucky he didn't just go straight to road test!

Not really shite related but I've started bringing my dog to work the odd day in the week if my wife isn't at home. Rather than take the dog for a walk and then just drive in, we walk in together. Bloody beautiful route. Just over 5 miles and we're on fields and footpaths for 95% of the journey:

image.jpeg.310cb939b6a02dd67573821d4568ef77.jpeg

I'm just starting with actually training her properly and consistently (we never did it properly with our other dogs) and she's come on leaps and bounds in the last month - she picks things up so quickly.  She's only young and full of beans so I was worried she wouldn't settle at work but she's happy to just wander round by my side. Eleven miles of walking does us both a world of good and I'm a mega jammy sod for living where I do and ending up with such a happy little dog which 8 months ago was picked up wandering round as a stray in Gran Canaria and destined to be put to sleep!

I was down at my parents' in Somerset over Easter and I went to see my aunt who lives just round the corner.  I was pleased to see that her next door but one neighbour has excellent taste in cars.

I really don't know, the algorithm for showing things on fb marketplace can be terrible sometimes, especially for older listings that fb might assume just aren't relevant anymore. This ad didn't generate much interest in a long time now.

Just flushed the tinniest Leveret I've ever seen from around the back of the house.  It would fit on the palm of my hand quite easily.
This one is much smaller than the one from about two weeks ago so I reckon we've got at least two females using the place as a crèche.
Neither dog spotted it which is good as the wee thing moves at about 4 mph - successfully* hid from me in some infant dandelions/willowherb (aka weeds)
Cute as anything :-)

Aye, on the trailer.  But I'll forgive.  54 screaming horsepower and a trailer. 1989 and only 77K miles, amazingly.

If I remember correctly, there are 5 digit odometers on these, so it probably has rolled over at least once.

Based on the MOT history, which puts it at 55K back in 2006 I’m inclined to think the 77K is real.

No idea why but this weekend has been the best spotting weekend that I've had since I accidentally drove the opposite way to a vintage rally...

The Volvo 145 and Peugeot 505 were within minutes of each other.  I got out for the Volvo because I was so excited.
