What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

Found a reasonably priced complete 1.3 EFI engine for a Yugo today. Guy wants 150E for everything, computer, harness, intake, the lot of it, all attached to an engine so you can transplant it over to yours.

Getting rid of dastardly carb is always a step in the right direction, especially if I manage to do it before it causes a headache as the car is still in bits. Now if I could find another reasonably priced one to put into Florida to get rid of carb there as well....

Actually, scratch that, the guy has two, one still attached to the rest of the car. Getting rid of not one but two carburetors inbound!

I can sell the carbs I have and scrap the leftovers to recoup some money as well. Good riddance.

I've just had a conversation with a younger female colleague and have found that she believed that the white fluffy dandelion things floating about are actually insects , more to the point she thought that was what a "daddy long legs" was.

She is fuming that I'm finding this funny

A whole fucked up set of circumstances means I hit the road late at ten to head west. The fuckery didn't cease. 25 shut, a3 shut, 303 shut. Why the grin? Have made it to my overnight spot. Tent pitched and sleeping shit thrown inside just in time for it to start drizzling. Love a bit of rain in the canvas. Might cover the snoring a bit for my fellow roadside hippies too.

My parent's 58th wedding anniversary yesterday.  They went out for lunch at cote in chester, and I offered to pay for champagne but they got a free glass.

Oh, and their first date for the wedding was two weeks earlier, but one of the bridesmaids had a birthday so they chose august. Nothing else was happening in 1966 on 30th July was it?

I think they had quite enough for a Tuesday lunchtime . Luckily they can get the bus for free from 50m away and the return stop is 5m from their house.
