Been over a year since i sadly had to get shot of the tina bought from @Stinkwheel Its much morned did a load of work on it and now a bit boy'd up by the fact it may still live. Didn't need too much and in hindsight would of done it myself as  council still ain't pulled down my not yet fallen down garage. It may still live, wonderful thing.

For a while a year or two back there was an arseantiques in Chobham. They’ve now moved and changed name. Not sure they realised at the time.

Is it and arts installation or just someone who happens to only have saved the front suspensions off their old Taunuses?

Theres a lot to like about today. Cross town journey from Woolwich to Harrow this morning was a joy. More joy as after yesterdays hard graft foundation manual dig the five of us got to level off some dirt then done for the day. Stopped at St. Catherine's dock on way home had a coffee and made friends with a squirrel. I like squirrels.

To be fair a ditch will fill up with 'nature' fairly quickly, especially if seeded with appropriate things. Not sure I'd want it 6' from my front door though.

And you can guarantee that someone will buy one of those houses off plan not realising the ditch is there and complain about it, wanting it filled in.

There is one near me and they built a load of houses around it.  Longer, wider and deeper than that.

The first year it was a sea of poppies of many different varieties.  Just grass now :(

That's just a Butlins for mosquitoes.

We get them just from our small pond and water butts, so that's a fair point.

A friend mentioned that a layer of cooking oil in the water butts will keep the mosquitos from breeding there, so I wonder if parking a Land Rover uphill from the nature* area would have the same effect.

There's a later receipt for rear discs/pads and the spring but nothing for the DMF - 🤔

The houses in question are not 1/8th mile from my house. That field used to flood about 2 foot deep in the middle of it which was the lowest point.  We have a very high water table being less than a mile from the beach, but the developers seem to have built the houses about 4 foot higher than the original field

Twice this week, I've been able to come with MrsH to pick up our daughter Evie from nursery. It's a real rarity, due to my work hours, it's always MrsH that collects.

I managed to sneak into the baby room without her knowing, and on both times of her spotting me, she does this adorable big squeal and race over for a cuddle.

I know they grow up eventually, but  am really enjoying this stage of her development 😍
