I just woke up from a very strange dream.

It was a mishmash of places rolled into one but in my dream it was my house. I dreamed that my mother spent £70 on this massive old Ransomes wood chipper machine, which was the size of a small bus, steam powered and had it shipped here for £1400.

It ran ok, I picked up a log the size of my leg and threw it at the machine (arbitrarily, not anywhere like a funnel) and that action turned the wood into so much matchsticks.

Then it stopped working and somehow it had grown an electronic control board, with buttons the same as the T1 test set on the switching room at work, and relays behind plexiglass that weren't working right. 

Someone came troubleshoot with me (don't know who it was) and then it all wouldn't work and I woke up.

 

That's the last time I read up on fuel injection control for old engines when I'm tired.

Saw a space saver for sale on a local selling page last night and she'd only listed the tyre size, I politely pointed out to her that it might be useful for a poential purchaser to mention that it was actually a space saver and to say what car it came off / would fit. Went up to outlaw_Junior's caravan earlier without SWMBO, dropped some stuff off, found a "green lane" got Megamoose a bit grubby then blezzed home the scenic way, with this on very loud.

I like making filthy things shiny.

I wasn't expecting half an hour to make such a difference.

Shedload still to be done - once the inlet manifolds are off and the cam cover gaskets are changed anyway...but at least I can top up the screenwash without looking like I'd been crawling around under a bus for an hour.

That she started after the engine was pressure washed was a good grin too.

Crikey that looks good! I cleaned the xsara's engine bay a while back. Partly because it looks sick, partly so I didn't get grimy hands topping up the screen wash or checking something and poking about! Worth it just for that
