Mr Rab, there is no rush sir !

You won't get deported, as you are not staying that long (are you?)

Plus you are staying with friend (Free accomidation, food and everything)

So you don't need to work, meaning no suspisions can arise.

Good Luck anyway :)

As for the mirrors - there is no rush, really, even if i get them next year ... i shall be happy

Awwww you guys! This looks like a top bit of AS teamwork, do appreciate pics of stuff like this. Also, your road wasd like a little shite-meet with all those tasty motors.

Must say, the Fezza looks good with yellow bulbs and MK3 wheels, have you decided if you're going to keep it yet?

Good work guys!

And i'm the one with the beard using a grinder, and smiling like a clown by the Rebel drivers door.

Barrett :-

Yeah the day was fantastic, had many laughs and shared many a mad story.

As for the Fiesta - Thanks :D , and yeah i think i'm going to keep it for a year or two and try build up some No Claims with it.

Thanks for the comments guys

That colour reminded me of something and I couldn't picture it but it's very similar to the colour used on British Gas vans in the 70's/80's.

Get your slovakian chum to steal some white from work and then get decals done for the bonnet/doors. That'd look AWEZOME!1.

 but the Rebel is not a Van , it's an Estate.

Still like the John Deere idea to be honest.

Btw Station - The previous owner of the Fiesta just knocked, she had her car stolen last night.

Apparently the men in the white kangoo are going around finding the cars, then getting young lads to steal them.

Apparently it is only old cars they are interested in.

So be careful !

I find this rather dodgy, as the two Kangoo men payed me a visit yesterday (See previous page)

It's getting more than annoying now to be honest.

Just hope non of mine get touched.

I have cameras that look onto them, and shall fit that Alarm to the Mk1.

I also asked "Micky" (My paint helping friend) to keep an eye out.

Just wish people could respect eachother and leave others stuff alone

Anyway, everyone enjoy the beautiful weather (Rain)

Mark, get this twat's registration. And get a photo of him while you're at it. Then ring the 5-0. He will be back by the sound of things. Fortunately Mr. MM5 sounds like a light sleeper, and his Audi will be in front of your stuff.

Thieving, shady little bastards. I wish I'd have taken a photo of him and his fucking Kangoo.

Yeah i know mate

Don't worry, i shall be having afew late nights "just incase" and sleeping within the day.

Night sanding - It can be a new sport

The previous owner of the Mk1 knocked today and told me she had her sunny stolen i think it was last night.

So Jon , our theory of "he wants the mk3 out the way to get the mk1", may be correct. As only older cars seem to be getting nicked, (Apart from a mates Vauxhall Corsa, but i think that was nicked for parts)

But yeah - With camera in hand i'm going to be up VERY late.

Camping inside a Reliant Rebel anyone ?

White Kangoo eh???

Can Pogweasel account for his whereabouts yesterday at 18:00hrs????

Go on Pog, admit it! You will feel better afterwards and we'll have a word with the judge to go lightly on you!

Damn these scummers! Driving around giving baldies a bad name and causing grief and distress.

& biscuits eh? Oh the gentle cracking of my teeth as the ginger nut is bitten clean through, for the ginger nut I would have driven the 200+ miles down there.

:(

Give the Kangoo-driving twunts a good howking from the shiters of the North East.

Those outriggers are in better shape than most and are easily replaced with single layers of thicker steel, rather than those bizarre, double-skinned jobbies that are seemingly intended to trap moisture and rot out. If you fabricate new ones, it's worth making the exhaust holes slightly bigger while you're at it.

More worryingly, the spring platforms that are attached to the sides of the chassis to carry the front ends of the back springs need to be fitted with a triangular reinforcement piece that was introduced in late 750s and offered to owners of earlier Rebels as a recall modification. Or you could weld a piece of very thick (â…›" or thereabouts) steel across the underside of the chassis to connect the main rail to the platform on each side.

The springs had a habit of tearing away at the chassis sides, leading to suspension collapse on cars where the reinforcement wasn't added.

But generally, that chassis looks like it's in amazing condition, there's usually nowt left on the top faces where the body sits in contact with that absorbent insulation strip (kitten reg used to do a rubber alternative for the insulation, or you could cut up some cheap rubber floor mats to do the same job. :D

Thanks John,

Yeah i think Pete and Jon mentioned the Chassis was in amazing condition considering it has been layed up for atleast 8 or so years.

As for the rear leaf spring mounts, i'm going to tack some metal "supports" in place, then i may email you a picture (if that is okay) , to confirm what i have done is correct.

Then i will get a very good welding friend to do it propperly (My welds are not the best you see  )

Thanks :D
