You would not believe the furore generated on another forum I posted it on, the strictly fact-minded humourless old farts warned of death if it was used due to ‘poisonous chemicals’. Now I never thought I’d have to say this to supposedly full-grown adults, but it seems to be anything but obvious, that a 60-odd year old fire extinguisher is for display purposes only. If you decide you want to use it that’s fine by me but I expect a well deserved Darwin Award would be forthcoming.

Good God, I wish I’d just thrown it away.

So what this things full of some nasty stuff?

I don't care I'm going to empty it and fill it with water :-)

Cheers, Mo. I'm in a fleabay auction ending tonight for a cheapie 950 but I doubt I'll win it - usually get sniped on these for some reason. If I win it I'll let you know, but still be interested in anything you have. I think codes for the 950/960 are available somewhere on the interweb for a little cash

Sniped as predicted :(

No rush, at all, Mo.

Halon is/was the bestest fire extinguisher of EVAH. No residue, no cold shocking, non-corrosive, doesn't displace oxygen, and works very very fast. You'd think it would be possible to give a ban exemption to health & safety equipment, but nonononono.

It noms the ozones though, and in fire-fighting concentrations it will asphyxiate you.

Still after 4 Ford (4x108) 14” steel wheels and tyres, or alloys. For a Fiesta, so nothing too wide/garish please.

As long as tyres are legal/road worthy/hold air I’m not too arsed if they’re cheap enough.

Better than burning maybe.

Strictly speaking, the only thing that doesn't asphyxiate you, in sufficient concentration, is oxygen. Which is also the last thing you want near a fire!

It can however poison you, I think at higher pressures but I'm not sure on that.

I'm after an Austin badge. Any kind from any car. My son (funnily enough called Austin) said today he'd forgotten one on his Christmas list.

Yeah I know they're on ebay but I'm not guaranteed that one would get here before Xmas like I'd be if someone on here had one.

Been looking to get hold of some for a while now so I can make historically accurate ones for my fleet as I refuse to pay the prices places wanted for them premade a while ago...

Yes, I'd happily offer them to folks on here once I've got the template obviously.

I'm looking for a good matched set of Morris Minor tyres 145SR14 or 155SR14.

Ideally five of them, but 4 would be okay.

I'm looking for a good matched set of Morris Minor tyres 145SR14 or 155SR14.

What you need to do is talk a B-bodied DAF owner riding 14s, to part with theirs by convincing them that 13" Marathon rimz are the bee's knees.

Alternatively, rob some from an Audi A2 / VW Lupo 3L owner who wants to go all Carlos Fandango. They were the last cars sporting 145/80 R14s.

(Sorry you missed out on my Vredestein giveaway.)

Posted

You grossly overestimate my social involvement with DAF and VAG owners, the lack of which being the reason for posting my wish here.

Besides, I'm not looking for 145/80R14 tyres, I'm looking for 145SR14s, or 155SR14s.

WANTED -

A set of floor mats for a Ford Fiesta 2007 shape - what would that be mk7? I haven’t a clue when it comes to Fords despite having two lol. Looking for genuine ideally :)

Please pm me,

Thank you

What mk it is really depends whether you class the mk2 as a mk1 facelift and whether you class a mk5 as a mk4 facelift haha most people will class the 2002-2008 as a mk6 fiesta

What type do you want, you can get new tailored ones on eBay for about £20 but a quick search on there bought these fantastic genuine ones up

Run windows on your Mac with boot camp? Or run windows virtually through virtual box or whatever? Either is pretty straightforward.
