The bonnet is still red so I doubt this is wilful mismatchedness.

Probably cheaper and easier than getting new locks.

A guy I know has a 17 plate focus ST with the worst repair I've ever seen on the OS rear quarter, it looks like it was done with a lump hammer and an aerosol, I assume he's planning on leaning on that bit when they're doing the return asesment

spotted this while out-n-about (I was with my mum when she said as i stopped in the middle of the road "taking a picture of a shite car?")  :) seeing as this is a council estate im not too surprised to see it, but its not as common as it once was, go back about 10-15 years there was some proper chod around here. it also looks like im being stalked by a certain *sadly not blue dodge... I only noticed the Dodge after taking the photo, like in some sort of horror film when they see the scary thing in the photograph  (I recall seeing this dodge before, I wonder if I have a close up photo of it...)

bonus shot: this place was a proper shit hole (still is in some regards...) (very much stereotypical council estate), but now its gone up market by quite a bit, with old flats torn down "Designer" ones gone up, at least it means Burnt out and smashed up cars are no longer a weekly thing around here as they where when i went to school (I used to raid the smashed up cars that got dumped in the dead end here for all the intact lightbulbs they had...  ) with the estate going all up market n stuff I did notice an increase of JDM stuff around here, and someone actually imported a JDM Hybrid Mini-van from Japan... future Autoshite maybe? one for DW certainly :)

This is why my Triumph now has a matt black bonnet.

That was only going to be a stop gap til I got it painted. This picture was taken almost ten years ago. The black has now developed it's own patina that I rather like.

Mismatched paint on cars absolutely kills my brain! I can't stand even a half shade off and part painted panels with a variation make me want to attack someone with a chisel! I don't know what's wrong with me, I must have Italian wiring in the brain box!

I geel the same way about a car that's been repaired and they have tried to do a 100% job, that boils my piss, but there's something so honest about a car that's got two different colour doors, and wing very much like the rover, sure he could have scrapped it but it lives to fight another day.

I'd rub it down lightly with scotchbrite, mask it and get it all one colour with graffiti paint tbh. Then stick the chrome back on.

A 'Bolf', Bora with a Golf front end fitted which may or may not detract from the winningness, depending on your outlook.

If this is a Bora with a Golf front end, then should it be known as a Gora?!

Been bugging me that this for sale thread hasn't been posted yet.  It had a "not significant" cracked bumper and dent, so he decided to improve it's looks by swapping over the panels.  Mission accomplished methinks.

These pictures are messing with my head but are strangely fascinating all the same. I miss seeing 70's car with one primered wing though.
