Congratulations Ukraine on winning tonight's Eurovision.

Much of this is down to the semi-conductor shortage, right? One manufacturer should innovate and build cars and vans that don't have microchips.

Kiltox’s 1994 Vauxhall Astra Cabriolet! 09/06 - notDITCHFINDERS

I've had a '93 Mahindra, a '92 LWB Suzuki SJ13, a '96 Saab 900 (currently with @twosmoke300) and right now I have a '02 MX5 on loan from @Andyrew They're great fun on B roads, but I kind of think the best experience is in the city late at night. But you feel a bit self conscious and vulnerable to attacks from drunks and homeless nutters. So probably the best choice for me would be a open roof Polo or a Pluriel. Yeah, think I want to try a cheap petrol (so ULEZ OK) Pluriel soon. -

That's a great idea, the email thing. Gonna copy that. On the subject of cartoons, why did Scooby Doo never do anything "impossible"? Like paint a tunnel and run through it? Or have a dinosaur dishwasher? Everything in Scooby Doo could've been done with actors. What's the point?

Historical novel help: different sort of project
Alan_Green replied to Missy Charm's topic in AutoShite
Just tonight I was watching "Babylon" on Netflix. For the first 10 mins I was seriously impressed with the trouble they'd gone to to replicate 1981 London. Especially the street scenes full of period-accurate crap cars. It was only when a young Mel Smith appeared as the garage manager (followed by Jacko from Brush Strokes) that I realised I was watching a 1981 movie! Anyway, I'd have a look at that for 1981-working-class-London inspiration. https://www.netflix.com/gb/title/81335107 And for the rest of you, it was quite a good watch. Full of chod. P.S. What's the plot of your novel? PPS, Is that you Nicola? -
Goosebumps. Same as my old one. Loved dat car.

Request. Anyone heading South on the M1? 2 x car wings from S36 (north of Sheffield) to anywhere further South. I'm by Fleet Services, (GU51) but drive all over London and much of the south. Petrol money will be paid.

Wonder if I know that Beetle. A Belfast lad on my course in the late 80's had a baby blue Beetle with tombstone lights. Reg number was UIB1605 or AIO1605. Something like that. Edit - Holy shit! It's the same one! Just looked at your profile pic. AIB1605. His name was Tim and he was a student in Dundee. He dropped out and went to live in Edinburgh and sold the car around then (1989). The car looks better now than then.
