Anyone in Doncaster?

Just seen 406 leather interior on eBay but collection only. Not going to be able to do that for a couple of weeks so if someone could collect and hold on to it for a while that would ace.

These things made by different companies as fitted to the lower outer suspension arms of Citroen ZX 1.9 D and some other French stuff. Easy to fit usually 15 mins each in a Lidl carpark.   Free for collection GU2 7XH or pay postage.

They have very good condition 225/55/17 tyres on them, and have two matching pairs of tyres. A pair of Avon ZV1s and a pair of Forceum Octas.

Currently sat in 17-Coffees' garden shed in Ellon, Aberdeenshire. I could possibly deliver a short distance though.

£100 would take them, as I just want shot of them to get some funds for tyres for the BMW 320i.

As an aside, next time I'm in the vicinity of the BMW 320i, I'll get photos of all the wheels I have for it (two sets). Would anybody have one complete set of wheels and decent tyres that would fit an E36 3 series and would they be willing to swap them for two sets of wheels, each set has two usable tyres and two worn out ones.

Couldn't you get the good tyres taken off one set of wheels and put on the other set or are they different sizes?

Or do you hate all the wheels.

17"s on an E36 isn't likely outside M3s.

O.Z. Opera btw, nice. Google suggests they're 5x114.3 so there's not really much they'll fit that's native to the UK sadly, seems to be mainly Japanese stuff, Toyota/Subaru/Nissan.

Posted

Subaru you say? Anyone with more time/brains than me able to confirm if they'd fit on my spec B, leaving a similar circumference?

I quite like the idea of a bit more tyre profile, so if they'll work I'll take em.

Bumping this since all the for sale stuff crammed into one disjointed thread that a lot of folk probably never look at means it was six pages down.

Reducing the price a wee bit too as it needs to go.

Snap On impact driver for sale.

I have upraded to a Makita to benefit from my extra batteries, so this is no longer required.
I bought it second hand years ago. Its the CTU4850 High output with 18v nicad batteries.
It comes with the main unit obviously, two batteries, charger and the pretty box.

To be noted - its well used - check the photo - its grubby, dirty and scratched. The rubber overmoulding on the hand grip is beginning to lift.
The charger is NOT a mains charger - it is a 12v charger for use in a car ciggy lighter. I have wanged crocodile clips on it for connection to battery terminals which can easily be removed. Note that connecting it to a stand alone car battery doesnt always work, it likes to see over 13v, so either you charge in the car with the engine running or you use a battery charger / bench power supply. Yes, i know this is a pain in the arse, but some fuckwits killed the original mains charger when i loaned it to them.
The batteries are not in their first flush of youth - they still hold charge well enough, and give a reasonable working time, but they are getting on a bit. Some guy sells reconditioned ones on the ebay if you wanted to upgrade.

Like I say, its not brand new, but this was the fuckin DADDY when these were relatively new tech....it was the most powerful on the market by a long way. Yes things have advanced since then, but its still a serious piece of equipment - this isnt some Argos pish that struggles with wheelnuts - its a tool that was and still is widely used by professional mechanics.

There are a couple of wee videos in action on my thread about them here...
http://autoshite.com...-on-deathmatch/

It will cost me slightly under 40 eurosheckles to post to UK, so I think 160 pounds all in is not unreasonable. At time of writing, there is one on ebay in the same sort of condition bid up to 150 plus postage with several hours left.

Or do you hate all the wheels.

The 5 spokes on the back use 225/50/16 while the 7 spokes on the front are 205/55/16.

What size are the current wheels / tyres on your legacy? You can compare the tyre sizes here: https://tiresize.com/tyre-size-calculator/

EDIT: I have a sneaking suspicion that Subarus might use a different PCD to other Japanese stuff. Don't quote me on that though.

Posted

Google tells me the wheels are 7jj, tyres should be 215s but are 225/40r18s. That implies a 6% increase in circumference, according to that calculator.

Posted

Some quick googling suggests the PCDs are different though.

Subaru = 5x100

Lexus (and thus these wheels) = 5x114.3
