What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

Arrived back to Edinburgh airport from Tenerife, through security,  baggage reclaim and waiting for the bus back to the carpark at 3am, a family with 4 feral kids arrived at the bus stop cursing, swearing etc about how cold it was (wearing only t shirts, shorts and football tops). You knew the time of your flight, so should have been prepared before you left to have warm clothing with you. We stood there in our coats grinning inwardly at their lack of ability to think ahead. 😂

Grump though as I heard the granddad say the car was parked next the bus stop - yup, in a disabled bay despite all being  physically healthy. 🤬

Totally unsalable POS citybug radio (according to facebook experts*) in selling like hotcakes shock. 3 today, 1 last night. Shame I've only got 1 left now.

That would be correct. Really odd place, the average wage is about €1000 a month but there’s tons of recent right hand drive JLR, Mercedes, Audi etc sat outside the many car dealerships. 🤔

Is that because it's a tax haven?

I suspect it’s because it’s estimated that a significant number of cars that are never seen again in the U.K. pop up in Cyprus. Loads of trucks go there mostly legally though.

When the Greek economy went tits up, it was reported there were more Porsches registered in Greece than higher rate tax payers. Cyprus presumably has the same attitude to paying taxes.

I haven't had Maggie Mays since I went in 2017 but it's almost worth the flight over just for it!

Aviva.  I have ended up with 2 pensions, and a health insurance plan via employment with them.  Then over the years, via comparison websites they ended up the cheapest for 2 house insurances and my wife's car. So I thought I'd try them. £480. Apparently k y this id discounted because I'm a customer already.

So off to the comparison sites and Aviva whilst not the cheapest was close within £5. At £276.  After adding a couple of optional extras it's up to £290.

In what planet are they on?
