Now with an electric pump to get it out to the public sewers.

I hope you mean the drainage system rather than the sewers. One of the reasons why sewers overflow into rivers is because the amount or groundwater getting into the sewers.

I hope the frenchdrain and pump works and dries out the house. It looks very wet down that hole

I’m not sure of the terminology here, but the waste water (from toilets, sinks etc) goes to one public pipe and further on to the water treatment plant. The ground water and rain water to another pipe which ends up in the sea.

Especially effective on limbs.

There was someone not far from me who thought it'd be a good idea to pick up a rotary lawnmower whilst it was running and use it to trim his hedge.

Seen Mad Max when the mob is trying to get into the refinery and the kid attacks then with the boomerang? Yeah that, but both hands 😱edit - don't think that counts as a grin, sorry wrong thread

I’ll talk you out of a c5 very easily. Just step away from the money pit.

I reckon the guy with the silver one in the pic has absolutely the right idea. I mean it can't really go wrong if you lop off everything from the B-pillar forward, can it? Surely he's not mental enough to have done that to a hydropneumatic one and retained the hydraulics bit. Right? Right...?

Don’t get me wrong. I had my series one from 2006 to 2012. 30,000miles to 85,000 but more than once thought about setting fire to it. With me in it.

I've just found some buff and green log books in an envelope, also old MOT certificates. I've still got one of the numberplates of one of them. Is that enough to get the reg tranfered to one of our cars?

Only if you also happen to find all the missing bits that fit between the number plates, bolt it back together and get an MOT for it.

I think so, there was a chap on here who got a plate off a modern car (electrical meltdown so not on the road for 4 or 5 years) after the rules changed to mean you didn’t need an MOT for a plate.

EDIT: think it was @NorfolkNWeigh

A 1960s car doesn't need a current MOT though.

I am actually in this situation with an incomplete 1960s wreck which I have had for years, which has quite a nice plate on it.  Haven't looked into it for a while but I think you will find that it needs an MOT, basically as proof of existence, before you can take the plate off even if it is normally MOT exempt.
