That's a no-brainer.

I've been able to bag the parking space right outside my office door in the centre of Leeds for the last couple of weeks. The amount of attention the old Battlecruiser gets is insane. I've had loads of people snapping photos, staring in the windows and two Chinese girls holding an impromptu fashion shoot with it this morning.

The parking space used to be a taxi rank, before we built the building I'm now in, and all the restrictive signage was demolished as it was attached to the old strip club my building replaced. Therefore I've currently got free parking. - until the council catch on and slap signs or a payment system in.

Motor factor true story: During the pandemic (when you could travel for 'essential' stuff) a lady* travelled for one hour to get to the factors, waited one hour in the very long queue, got to the counter and the part that was supposed to be in stock, wasn't.

She then got in her car, and did a sort of expletive filled rodeo by driving round and round and round and round the car park for absolutely ages screaming abuse and obscenities, before wheel spinning off into obscurity.

Somehow on the last fuel up in the Princess, without hypermiling or using motorways, over about 150 miles it returned 43mpg.  That's better than it should get, and the best economy its ever returned.  Who needs modern cars?

In spring it became obvious that we needed to do something about the French (?) drainage system, as well as the gutter drainage due to water seeping into the basement.

It’s now being done, I hate the process but it will be a massive relief when it’s finished.

Now with an electric pump to get it out to the public sewers.

Wow that's cool, your own moat! Should tank it up and keep it...

Another successful day at the local inspection centre for the Scoobies annual.

Being on lpg means no drama with emissions as the European overlords seem to be cracking down on them a bit more lately.

A few classic car owners are panicking slightly about not passing but seeing as every other car you see is a mk3 Astra,Golf or 206 then testing can't be that strongly enforced..

I hope you mean the drainage system rather than the sewers. One of the reasons why sewers overflow into rivers is because the amount or groundwater getting into the sewers.

I hope the frenchdrain and pump works and dries out the house. It looks very wet down that hole

I’m not sure of the terminology here, but the waste water (from toilets, sinks etc) goes to one public pipe and further on to the water treatment plant. The ground water and rain water to another pipe which ends up in the sea.
