I wish this was true!

20 years ago, a person in France had a vision. An epic epiphany that would go unsolved for years.

Generations of drivers thought the little cubby hole in the lower dash of the Citroën Xsara Ph2 was for no reason, just to infuriate the driver as their carefully placed small items shot under their feet as they turned right off the a40 onto the b4002 and sit empty for years.

The dream is realised, Citroën foresaw the Samsung z flip 3 🌠

A phone from 2021 worth easily 5x the value of the car it's sat in, fits in the useless bloody hole and doesn't hinder accces to 1st, 3rd and 5th.

It also looks like genius storage for floppy disks, a wide pack of Players and broadcast cartridges. Those French thought of everybody when designing their cars...

Sitting at work, and I get a Messenger call. Can't answer but I ask what's up?

My mate's randomly bumped into a guy I lost contact with when he lost his phone two and a half years ago (he's off the grid), and he wants my phone number. Fuckin' winner.

I read a comment today that tickled me:

"Marriage is just two people asking each other what they  fancy for tea every day until one of then die's"

My wife didn't think it was funny though :)

Maybe she is allergic to unnecessary apostrophes? She might not like being stamped out. :)

I've read about the extortionate hospital car park charges in the UK.

I'm about to start a 7 week, 5 days a week radiation therapy treatment for cancer here in Sydney Australia. The grin - for the princely sum of $50 AUS (about 30quid) I get a car park pass enabling free parking for the 7 weeks.

*scratches head* - how is something "free" if you're paying for it? 🤔

Changed the date code a bit and made this!

Correct , not free if one is being pedantic, but in comparison to UK hospital parking charges it may as well be.

Although my local hospital charges between £3 and £12 normally, chemotherapy patients get free parking.  Not sure if that extends to radiation therapy.

Anyway, good luck with the treatment.

On reading another forum, this was presented to me

www.birdsarentreal.com

I like the fact that they're "quoting" Tricky Dicky as saying that birds were invented in 1978, as if there's nobody around who is older than 44 and remembers seeing birds before that.

At first glance I read that as "Angry Dicky" and thought "why is one of our number wittering on about birds and stuff?"

Popped out at lunchtime, saw an odd shape on the road heading towards me. Turned out to to be the 6-wheeled Mondeo "Coastal Alamor" camper M742 VRB. Can't remember if I have a photo on Flickr, but it was good to see out and about.

Surprised to see it only has a 1.8-litre petrol to haul itself around.

Bloody hell that's a weird looking thing!  Looks like it's been through several different iterations.  Even with a 1.8 Zetec I'd imagine it's far from the most underpowered camper on the road...

Are you in 2022 already? Is the future good?
