Painted the inside of our front door last night and this morning it looks pretty darn good.

The fumes from the Dulux trade gloss are getting a bit nauseating but by heck it gives lovely finish. Might not use it in the rest of the house though as it is really potent stuff!

It's a lot less potent than it used to be.

Found this at work today, was booked in on bulky collections. Only missing guy lines and pegs.

I probably use my gazebo more in the winter and when the weather is crap tbh. It's great for putting up over a car I'm working on then it doesn't matter if (when) it rains/snows etc.

This reminds me of when i did some glossing and her indoors put some chopped onions around the area as her dad said it would help clear the smell.

A while later she asked why were the bowls of raw onions now empty.

Turns out Joey our Beagle had eaten the bleedin lot.

Has it not occurred that they threw it away, because Winter.

People around here throw plenty of good stuff away. I can't find anything wrong with it save the missing pegs and guy lines. And the zip on the bag has broken, but a new one can be stitched in.

I have some furniture to sand down and varnish, so I'm sure this would make a suitable working space. Provided the cat doesn't piss up it.

Had a very pleasant visit from Cort16 of this parish, who stopped in on his way (slightly dog-leg) through the area. Tea consumed, vehicles admired, shop spoken.

Nice to have met you, stop in any time!

Can confirm that despite mixing up my user name Phil is a lovely guy who has actual Forrest Gump shrimp boats parked at the end of his road.  I rudely arrived empty handed at dinner time and he fed me, made tea and spent an enjoyable hour chatting about Pontiacs.

Were there other smells as a result?

Today after work I met another shiter; Plasticvandan, and it was a real pleasure, turns out he works across the road from me!

Autoshite is indeed a very big family....

If our dog scoffed that lot then there's no chance you would notice a paint smell.

That’s a lovely feeling isn’t it? Knowing that if it does all go wrong it will be that much easier to find all the bits!

Going to collect a car today.

Agreed it in advance with Missus Moog. Then this morning she points out I am going to end up driving m6 on a Friday which is silly and why didn't I arrange to collect it tomorrow.

When I remind her that tomorrow is her birthday she said she didn't mind!

Couldnt work out whether that was a good/ bad thing :-)

It’s a test don’t trust her

New wiper delivered for £1.78 for the Mondeo. After how pissed off I was in Wilkos earlier that they only do the floppy type and they were four and a half fucking quid, I’d call that a result.

Friend sent me THIS  - at least I haven't had them 'that' bad..... although he thinks otherwise. Saw this and thought of you - was the email!

Ha! I've got that exact same socket set.... although I shattered the screwdriver handle by whaling it with a hammer in a typical tale of "Pillock dramatically misuses his tools". I think I was trying to emulate an impact driver.

Just had a Penguin bar. Forgot how great they taste, probably only second to Foxes Classic Bars but just above Gold Bars.

From the fair wife's face book...

DAM - Today I have reported to the police and Miller homes and the company this particualr man works for..... that he has been smoking weed /cannabis and then driving the road cleaning vehicle up and down park lane all afternoon. (I do realise how funny this would look in cartoon form) however even when challenged he didnt seem to care and acted like he couldn't hear us and hadnt done anything wrong! I know he's not going very fast but it is illegal under the drug driving law! ... and park lane is now a busy road most of the day... could(depending on how much he decides to smoke at work) be an accident waiting to happen!

Leicestershire Police were not interested.... no surprise there.... Miller homes did call us back and said they would deal with it but he carried on driving until the end of the day ... so who knows if he'll be back and work tomorrow!
