Are Terrorvision and Reef supporting? Im seeing them in Town. Cant wait. Gr8 to see Danny back on his foot.

Yeap thats the one they are all getting hour long sets plus the headliner gets 75 mins.

Wait, another wildhearts tour?! Saw em at the start of the year in Leeds!

Sort of they are doing the Britrock tour as the full band. CJ and Ginger did an accoustic tour which was great and got me back into them after last going to a gig in the late 90's.

At work earlier and a super clean R33 Skyline GTS-T pulled up alongside me at the lights, piloted by an aging East Asian man, clearly living the dreams of his youth.

No body mods except a set of Rota wheels.

Sounded glorious pulling away.

Used to see stuff like this a lot in Birmingham. Asian folk tend to pool their finances, so a nice sports car belongs to the family, not the individual. Not a bad way of doing things really.

They do the same with houses don't they. I have several Asian friends that live with their whole family in a huge house. Personally I think they are mental, I couldn't think of anything worse but they probably look at me, skint as owt, squeezed into my 3 bed semi, trying to pay for everything myself like I'm the mad one.

I tried it but the Asian family I tried to move in with just called the police.

I mean, I don’t mind free usually.

That looks like a student's 'prize' for coming home from the pub

There’s this local church that’s on a junction, they have this sign that never makes any sense.

My birthday today. Had a very nice time driving my very exciting Fiesta quite a bit and went to the Haribo shop in Pontefract!

Of course a trip to Weatherspoons was also worked in :-)

Drove past the Haribo shop today. Staying in Pontefract tonight.

And this doesn't look iffy at all.

The crossed out VIN relates to a regular old BMW

The new VIN related to a BMW Alpina.

I'm wondering if this is a regular thing when they made an Alpina out of a factory BMW? This seems to suggest so

It is. Alpina have been a VIN issuing manufacturer for a while now, the BMW one gets crossed out as in the photo.

The bmw one is handy for looking up parts online.

I was hoping to be a bit productive today, but now I'm drinking beer. Whoops

In light of the new MOT rules are expecting a glut of spares or repair diesels on ebay on account of them having their DPF's gutted?

If you tell yourself that one of your problems today was an excess of beer in the house, that counts as productivity.

Lol, been looking up some old late 90s adverts adverts for a pretty cool advert I last saw around 97/98 related to banking which involved some chap running and getting cornered by some "gangsters" then for some unknown reason they start playing rounders/baseball (it was a UK based advert) and some car windows got smashed. I remember there being a BMW 635i and a P38 Range Rover in the advert, still not found it mind, but....

I never knew there were so many 'chatline' adverts back then, or at least I never noticed, this must have been some sort of pre-Facebook thing. I wonder how popular they got and what happened to them since (almost certainly closed down due to; internet)

Some adverts seemed more interesting back then, though money adverts were still very annoying ( that Blue telephone selling loans on 0800 2 15000 :sigh:)

One car insurance advert featured a large ginger bloke with a red '87 XR2 complaining about his car insurance. Cosmetics adverts have never changed, featuring overly glamorous women with American accents selling cosmtics etc...

Hah!  Did you see any of the old Hyundai adverts from the 90s with coupé?  They almost make the Perodua advert posted the other day look glamorous.

I think some of those chatlines still exist, although you're right.  The Internet has killed most of them off.  At least they weren't for TV chat lines.  I haven't watched Sky for years but there were always a few 'chat' channels in the 900s, other than the 'saucy' ones.  Speaking of which, I went to college with a girl that was on one of 'those' channels for a bit a few years ago.  Didn't know at the time...

Not come across the Hyundai adverts yet but did see quite a few Daewoo adverts. Also saw a couple for the Ford Escort, Vauxhall Zafira and Frontera and the Honda Accord.

Still not found the advert I'm looking for though...

(Slams XR2 door, with face like a smacked arse and terrible acting): "INSURANCE COSTS - STUPID, JUST STUPID"

Cut to some old woman complaining about the same thing.

Cue voiceover of the name of some insurance company that is definitely* cheaper than all the others.

Cut to ginger XR2 door slammer: [chuckling] "I saved a packet!"

Funny the things you remember from 20+ years ago. I'm sure Hirst also had a good meme about this same advert, back in the day.

That insurance advert was never 20 years ago was it?

I still casually refer to things as "stupid, just stupid". Like a pre-internet meme.
