Picked this little personal stereo a few weeks ago at a market for €2.00.

New batteries and it showed signs of life.

Cleaned the heads, then dug out some of my old tapes!

I've bought a house in the countryside (Romania, not UK) for the full price of a Sandero.  Sure, it's not been lived in in 20 years, but it's still standing and the roof is not leaking. Just cleared the jungle in the yard, and now I can asses the damage to the building and make plans to turn it into a summer retreat.

We need pictures 😎

I have a shoebox with "Sandero" cash in it and really want to get as far away from people as possible. It'd cost half a million quid to do that here in derbyshire so I'm going to have to widen my horizons.

Best price!  Got some bonus hairy orange rope too.  Thought these would make good garden chairs until I got a proper look at them, they're far too nice to leave outdoors.

Free chairs are the best chairs.

I picked these up from the local free cycle page this morning, needed a couple new screws and a damn good clean but have come up a treat.

My Seat Leon FR hybrid sounds like an old Travel West Midlands MCW bus, the DSG transmission seems to whine when it goes through the gears as I slow down.

10 kilometers away from  where you and Ian entered Romania the day we've met, it has some working electrickery (one light bulb and one plug in each room), it had no water but since I've bought it I signed the contract and got the work done. Now I have a working metered tap on my property for the grand sum of just under 200 pounds.

No sewage system in the village, so I'll have to rent a digger and make a big hole in the ground, and install a septic tank. Then I'll get to plumbing, and then see how it works with paint just to sit there for a couple of weeks this year. In October probably a full refurbishment of the building will start, to make it ready for another 70 or so years.

There used to be an outhouse, but while the house was not used someone took the fence, so the neighbours started taking the animals there to graze. A cow fell in the latrine, so the neighbours covered it to prevent other animal deaths.

We’ve got a new bloke at work, only three years out of university. Rocked up in a 1995 Vauxhall Frontera. I think we ought to get along rather well…

Edited to say his backup car is a Subaru pickup. The bastard....
