Earthquake in Stockton this morning - one of my daughters lives only a few miles away and heard nothing.

Someone on Facebook comments "If you have come to Middlesbrough looking for signs of devastation - it always looks like that"

In the Netherlands a man took an Aston Martin for a test drive.

What he did not say was that he wanted to drive it to Spain.?

....

Apparently he has form for doing this type of thing, and is a serial offender anyway!

i had an interview with the local bus firm as a trainee bus driver this morning.

i didn't pass, failing the psychometric test thing which showed that i don't have a propensity of speeding, tor taking risks, i do have a dislike of driving.

which is true.....

The wife's C4 passed the MOT yesterday, no advisories, not to bad for a 2 grand , 11 year old 7 seater. It also tipped over to 137k on the way to the garage.Ā

That reminds me of coming home early one summer evening to find the Mrs relaxing in the garden with a drink having prepared dinner and put it in the oven. I joined her and a pleasant hour or so passed with a couple* more drinks before I was despatched to check the readiness of said dinner.Ā  Finding the main Aga oven to be empty, I then looked in the lower one - also empty. Beginning to wonder if dead chickens can actually fly and take their roasting tin with them, I posed this question to the cook, who rapidly became (even more) red-faced. Eventually the chicken was found, still in roasting tin, in the cupboard where said tins are kept, leading to an urgent communication with a take-away food provider.

Nipped out to Tescos to get stuff for a late tea, but within a few hundred yards I noticed a hideous rattling coming from the back of the Ami. When I stopped to investigate it transpired that the NSR hubcap bolt had worked loose... ?

A mates son borrowed a pickup and trailer from a guy in Wigan to collect a VW transporter, when they got back they dropped it off at his house but he'd gone the pub.

So heĀ took the keys to him and told him he'd filled it up.

There's no need for that , you've only been to HorwichĀ

Er , we've been to Harwich, What , Harwich where the fuck is HarwichĀ

Random find of the day.
No idea where I got it, in fact I've never seen it before!

Apparently it's to commemorate the 1991 Murmansk festival of the north
Well, so my rough translation using the Russian alphabet tells me.
