CreepingJesus
Definitely. It showed in those trailers, because they usually had an auto locking set up for reversing, and the pins, pneumatic actuators and electronics could all give trouble - mostly a simple case of shoogling a connection, trimming a hose or battering seven bells out of it. You kinda had to, cos reversing one with the steering wheels out of line was near impossible unless on gravel or shiny concrete. warch
davocano
My stepmother I managed to blag my way into the Department of Public Works and Highways motor pool in San Jose de Buenavista. The highlights of this visit being three late '60s Isuzu TDJs. One was very dead... One was mostly dead... This one is still alive! Employed as a water tanker. I don't think it was their own work, but Isuzu's take over by GM was in 1971 and the TD series pre-dates this, so probabaly not a yank. However, it looks suspiciously like a Mitsubishi Fuso T800 (there are some differences (eg the wings)) ,and Isuzu had a joint venture with Mitsubishi in the '60's.... the interweb seems to be very short of info. Isuzu TD ^^^^ Mitsubishi Fuso T800 ^^^ Mitsubishi Fuso T800^^^ And I found this... And as we know Daewoo were very much part of GM from 1972 (before then they were associated with Toyota). This one has the air of a mid 70's face lift about it. So was it a Korean built version of the Isuzu (the wing shapes suggests it is), Isuzu are now part of GM remember, based on the Mitsubishi Fuso T800, Mitsubishi now being associated with arch Korean rivals? sutty2006, willswitchengage, Dyslexic Viking and 5 others

In the Top Gear Burma Special, Hammond and Clarkson both had these. They weren't sure what they'd bought because they had Isuzu badges on the bodywork and Mitsubishi on the running gear. There must be a lot of them still running all over Asia. bigstraight6 and martc
martc
This really should be in the caravan or bus thread, so sue me. Built in 1938 it's a Reo bus chassis with a rear mounted White V12 engine, towing a Curtis Aerocar caravan. willswitchengage
Currently cycling across France. Local registered Ford F-Max spotted earlier: Also, trucks here are generally older than they are in the UK. Why? Seeing anything pre-eu5 in the UK is rarity today - in France they seem to still be going strong.
