Justwatching
Collected my old miniature rail shite from the parents house. Didn't think the buildings would make very good set pieces as they're a slightly different scale to the cars. I'm not sure now. Looks passable at first glance. bunglebus, Spottedlaurel, eddyramrod and 4 others

Would be £60+ on ebay in that condition - somebody should snaffle it up immediately! I'll add them to the list! alcyonecorporation
Here's some of my garbage. I've no idea why the pics look I've taken them on a PS2 with its grubby pixels - ffs man, I can only apologise. Here we have the losers' F1 grid; I like how the Footwork looks like 1:43 scale Inoue's already beached it in the gravel. Verem Maserati Indy. This is one of those models that isn't very accurate, but manages to capture the essence of the real thing to a tee. As purchased, I had to reassemble bits of it - the tailgate had fallen off and the NSF wheel had wandered off inside the box. Diapet Isuzu MX1600. Diapet like 1:42 scale models for some baffling reason. I have a few Piazzas of theirs, because of course I would, obviously. Jesus. I got this longboi at a market in Ely; if you'd like to restore it, it's missing a back door and is available for £several. 1:42 Celeste, bought when I had my 1:1 GSR (as Dugong). Model mint, cellophane tatty like last night's bag of chips. RAF is dumpy and sad. Datsuncog, andrew e, AndyW201 and 3 others

Jon
Loving the RAF @alcyonecorporation. Do you have anything Alcyone related, or even Vortex related (or whatever they're called?). Beyond the recent Matchbox or Hotwheels issue, I can't think of any versions that spring to mind. Popped to the supermarket today and there was a surprising 1980s USSR vibe to the stock levels. Despite that, I managed to snag this, as a present to myself for completing a basic grown-ups task: I'm no major Hotwheels botherer but if there's something I like, I've a tendency to pick it up. Currently under covid rules, checkout staff don't pack your bags and the whole process is quite rushed, so I was pushed out into the rain to pack, meaning the card got all wet. Ah well, plenty of reason to rip it open! Quite a detailed casting, really. Relatively ambivalent about the sticky out wheels and also the type chosen but they could be worse. However, there's a messy casting blob and scuffed away paint on the roof, which isn't ideal. That said, what does £1.25 buy new these days? I'm sure Matchbox were about £1 back in the 1990's! bunglebus, Datsuncog, Split_Pin and 1 other

Lovely casting though, I have one in the customising pile but still looking for the green one. It seems no new stock is getting delivered due to the delays at the docks. Mrs is doing a temporary stint at Tesco so I've got a delivery alert if they get anything in Jon
bunglebus
A while back, @Datsuncogsent me a crusty Tonka buggy that needed restoring. It was really badly pitted so when I found another at the toy fair I grabbed that too In the end I used the "green" (actually purple) body and base, with the interior and axles from the pink one. Could do with some sunshine to show it off but that ain't happening. Colour is Rover Amethyst with a splosh of pink pearl over the top, as one was pink and the other purple this seemed fitting. Interior got a lick of beige as the rust stains wouldn't come off. I left the base in bare metal as it came up well As an aside, the pink one is stamped Made in USA, thought they were all Japanese? andrew e, Justwatching, Dick Longbridge and 5 others

Six-cylinder
Has anybody got a 1:43 Scale Fiat Seicento they can sell me? I was expecting them to be cheap and plentiful as they were made by Majorette and others, but it seems not. Any colour, play worn, unboxed all good. 2cvspecial

Split_Pin
This one is on ebay but its being sold by Jumajo whom a few of us have ordered from before and they are pretty decent. They seem to specialise in ex partwork stuff. I bought a Spanish Sava version of the Leyland FG truck and it arrived in just a few days. Its also a fantastic model. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CR22-voiture-1-43-CARABINIERI-FIAT-600-ELETTRA-2003-/334171317733?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 Six-cylinder
TheOtherStu
As a reminder, I'm still on the lookout for an MR2 roadster if anyone sees or finds one. They are rare as rocking horse shit. Minichamps do one, but it was a limited edition. When I was at the NEC, there were quite a few stalls, all who had Minichamps stuff, but none of them had or had ever had a Roadster. There's one for sale on the Bay for £35 (inc P&P), but it's in Italy and I'll get hit with millions on duty too. Plus it seems a bit much for a 1:43 Minichamps which whilst they're fine, are hardly the Rolls Royce of miniature shite. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184258389623 bunglebus and Dick Longbridge
Datsuncog
Shit, I didn't know you were looking one - there's been a red Minichamps one kicking around an antiques stall at the market in Belfast for a few weeks now. Missing its mirrors, dusty and without a box lid - but priced at a fiver, if memory serves. If I'm in on Friday, I'll see if it's still there? Datsuncog
Cool, will do! Looking back through the thread here, I've been ignoring the MR2 since 22 October... time was I would have just bought it and worried about punting it on later, but that turned out to not be a very good way of doing things. Fingers crossed it's still there on Friday morning, sure! Split_Pin
RoadworkUK
This is unbelievably excellent. OH MY GOD can you even imagine the state of my trousers if I received this for Christmas as a lad? Poundland primer goes on really well but there's not a lot in each can and most of the time they don't have any. Wilkinson, Halfords and Paint Factory brands seem to go on nicely, as does Holts. 151 lacquer is also good stuff and smell of pear drops as a bonus! If you're only doing the odd car it's probably best to stick to one brand to avoid reactions TheOtherStu
bunglebus
I took a chance on a collection only job lot, mainly for these carry cases. The pics were fairly crap, not sure if my gamble was worth it. They were full of cars but most are in a bad way. Seller was more into plastic models now and had some nice stuff on display and a few 1:1 scale BL cars - I've recommended he joins us! bunglebus
So, the carry cases. The one that really caught my eye was this early Hot Wheels Custom Volkswagen. Sadly the headlights are missing along with the sunroof Other bits of note are a tidy Matchbox dustcart Big Bull is one I've not found before Early Lesney Routemaster Just how many colours does the Buick Regal come in? Same could be asked of the MK3 Escort Somehow this is the biggest standout of the lot - very purple Dyane A weirdo - small scale plastic jobbie from a maker I don't recognise This is kinda interesting, Husky Ford F350 with Corgi Juniors sticker Absolutely no idea what these are or who made them Norev Maserati Boomerang is sadly squished And Bagheera is battered I've bid on a Corgi SD1 for @eddyramrodso of course there was one here too Jeep is pretty nice One I didn't know about - Corgi Goodyear Blimp! Another bus of miniature lost souls as @RoadworkUKnamed it Anyone got any info on this Transit Wrecker @Datsuncog There were probably 50 cars but those are the only ones worth posting really Dick Longbridge, eddyramrod, Datsuncog and 5 others
