When I worked at VW we had a launch model registered as EO52EOS

...and from many years ago, A Vectra V6 that we owned just happened to come with this plate;

That’s what I’m talking about! Plates which the owner didn’t pay extra for.

Some of these plates are great.

Does my Toyota qualify? Not exactly the model name and I did buy the plate, though.

BMW520 still has that plate according to the DLVA, or at least it did when I checked a while back.

With the context of the other cars/plates, I'd hazard a guess that is not the 520's real plate, it just happens to be the only one that's a valid format. For the record, the plate BMW 520 is not currently registered to anything, 520 BMW is on the appropriate model however.

I saw an Audi of some sort earlier on with the number S55 SSS.

Perhaps it had a slow puncture?

Or a big fan of the Nazis.

I’d have spent the money that plate cost on a better car.

Unsure if I've posted this already, but spotted a few years ago somewhere in London / outskirts when I was there for work.

I think it easily wins this thread, what a combo!

Even better if it was it's issued plate and it was just luck. Seems right for an A reg?

I think from back in the days when you could choose your plate from a list at the dealers.

I think it's a post-'86 facelift version.  There's too much black plastic and not enough chrome for it to be a genuine '83 car in my opinion...
