I saw TE57LAU at work today on a model 3.

That's desperation for you, people are just dying to show off their meaningless number plates.

Appears to have been registered as such from new back in 1999.

A bit tenuous but I always thought my old 560SEC sort of had “coupe” at the end of the plate.

Yesterday, coming back from Yakushi / Whittlebury Classics, saw a Mk1 Golf GTi with "V GTI" as his numberplate.

I thought "That fella forgot to take his show plates off"

When I bought a new Fiat 500 I put a 500 plate on it and sold it with the car.

When I worked for the Aylesbury Volvo dealer in August 1990 they bought 3 select plates to give away H300 VOL, H400 VOL, H700 VOL. The buyers of each model were put into a draw and the winner of each model type had the appropriate plate fitted to there car for free.

@ Brands Hatch on Saturday, a nice looking Ovlov V60 in that Polestar blue, AV60VOL.

Took a photo but it appears my phonecam has turned into a potato.

I’ve seen this one before, looking very sharp indeed.

My old Volvo 740 with it's original "940" plate. It was registered just a few months before the 940 launched, so close...
