  1. Is there any Retroshite type Sunday morning meet in the south east ? Let’s say within 1 hours drive of Slough/Windsor, with a good selection of old tat present …..where a beat up old Frontera might not look too out of place…..I find most of the “classic meets” local to me are a bit too posh…..
  2. That’s a good colour match for the bonnet, where did you get the wrap done?
  3. There is another one that happens the second Sunday of every month at The Black Swan in Ockham, no issue with parking as they have a massive overflow field out the back.....but you wouldnt see much in the way of old chod there unfortunately......unless you count my e34!
  4. If you are looking car meet near Chertsey I can recommend the one that take place in Runnymede the last Sunday of each month. I go to it fairly regularly in the summer months. A decent mix of American, high end exotic, traditional MG, Morris stuff, 80/90 Fords and I'd say about 5-10% of the turn out is this kind of stuff.
  5. That will be a proper weapon if you do chip/map it...... a real wolf in sheeps clothing....I like it a lot
  6. Great to meet guys, really enjoyed it, as said thanks to @inconsistant for organizing it. I didnt take a photo of my own car there but here is one I took earlier......from a distance that is optimal in terms of hiding all its paint work flaws character
  7. Spotted this last week....living its best Italian supermini life....ingenious bumper securing/bonnet latching system
  8. Thats a brilliant thing and thank you for sharing it. In terms for requests.....if possible Peugeot 405, BMW e34, Renault Clio, mk1 Vauxhall Frontera
  9. Yes please......I understand while the crowd isnt fussy a phase 1 GRD Estate would be especially popular with at least 1 attendee next year
  10. Really good day out..... saw so many of the cars I grew up with, that an uncle owned, or dad owner....or dad test drove at some point....that I owned at one point....or a mate owned and we used to go on trips in.....and the best part for me was the condition of a lot of the stuff was what you'd expect from a 25-35 year old honest original motor. Having not been before I thought my old Frontera was gonna be a bit tatty but Soundwave was spot on, there was a great mix of restored minters but honest original ( rust plebs, laquar peal etc) motors too, with zero snobbery regarding condition, people just happy that these unexceptional cars still exist. Some fella actually put a pic of the frontera up on Twitter while we were queuing to go in. Great to hear the clatter of an XUD diesel again....like a friend of mine said....it was the sound of our youth. The only car missing to complete the day for me was a Peugeot 405....they have completely disappeared it seems. Regards the 1990 camry, I had a brief chat with the owner, the car is completely original with only minor touch ups. It looked like brand new.
  11. Thanks...I do feel better for knowing this.....she'll fit right in!
  12. I'm glad to read there is some more honest chod in the parking area.....I'm going for the first time this year in my 26 year old honest survivor, lived the life of a unexceptional car, Frontera......I was thinking before this post perhaps it was a little too tatty for the parking area....good to know
