Small groups by appointment only are permitted to view the collection.

The venue is located in Daventry, NN11 8NT

Anyone interested in going?

Once we have enough interest, I would make contact and make the necessary arrangements.

I would be very interested, please count me in. I saw the collection in 2012 when it was at Dagenham and would love to see it again.

thats great news they are finally opening it.  I was lucky enough to see the collection when it was in Dagenham on the one time they opened it to employees about 8 years ago. Always thought it was such a waste it essentially locked away

Definitely up for it.

I went in 2010 (ish) to 'Nam. I sat in an RS200. And drove away in a Cortina Mk5 for a photo shoot.

Now I live 25 minutes away from Daventry so can't really say no.

They were never on proper display in Dagenham they just opened up the ramshackle shed they were stored in randomly one day for employees and then that was that

Went in the mid 90's & agree was such a waste locked away, the staff were totally uninterested in visitors.

Have never understood why in the 00's when the moved everything from Dagenham  they sold the one off automatic RS2000 built for Henry the  second, the yellow transit looked like it had been thrown together with what ever was to hand, they also sold of loads of styling models etc.

I'd be up for this but my September is looking fairly busy, once a date's confirmed I'll let you know.

I have sent an email to the organiser of the tours and received a prompt out of office reply. He is away on holiday until the 7th August 2024.

We may have to arrange the visit for later in the year, I will keep you posted.

Update:

Got an email today:

Peter,  many thanks for the enquiry and always happy to accommodate small groups, clubs or individuals where we can

For the remainder of this year we now have some major site work on the main building adjacent to us at Daventry which has now placed restrictions on visits to our area, we have decided to use this time and complete some work to enhance the Heritage area around the safety and security of the site, a re-location of operational facilities and some much needed upgrades to the visitor experience.

Both work streams have now presented issues with arranging visits for the remainder of this year, so if you can confirm its ok to keep your details on file we can contact you when we are back up and running in the new year and plan a date for you to visit?

I'm looking forward to 2025 already.
