The Price is SHITE!

The typical MG Maestro owner would have been a die hard Austin Rover ‘Enthusiast’. Wouldn’t have been the bearded sort, they’d hate anything post 1981. Wouldn’t have been Mr Average either, the Maestro was considered old hat and unfashionable even when in production. Would have one though.

I have googled Katy Perry and found out she is not the drunken neighbour of  a friend of mine so I feel safe to have a dabble at £4850

Wish me luck.

£6172.00   but relisted three days later when the "buyer" realises it's a cat C and disappears.

Diabolical, so £6,666.66. I am retrospectively baffled why ARG released the turbot Monty in 1985 but the turbot Maestro took another 4 years to gestate when it's basically the same car but with a hatch.

It all depends if his mates are on line to help the bidding and one of them doesn't make the winning bid.

My guess is that it will be removed from sale before the listing ends, as either some mug will turn up and offer the reserve to take it away now, or there's a mistake in the description and the seller decides to go for a fixed price listing instead.

(£3.066.53)

I guess we have a winner then.... Sort of.

Now I've had a word with Katy Perry but she's not available for a bit so here we go, its Les building a sandcastle with Dustin Gee.

I reckon that'll go for £3,200.

I nearly bought one of them in better condition for £250 10yrs ago. How depressing.

Did they ever do the Festival Fringe? I can't think of another sensible reason why they'd have a scottish flag on their sand castle.

I reckon £2100.00 and a squashed, slightly melty Mars Bar.  Under the seat will be £1.65 in loose change, so £2,098.35

Boom_Daughter who is experienced* in the motor trade (and is 11 years old) says £1335 and no melty confectionery

£1984 from me, £1 for every year since the birth of our lord and saviour Brian Blessed, and when this was registered

£1622 for the Merc. It's pretty rough and there are a few around so it's not exactly rare.

Oh, and I was going to guess £5000 for the Maestro, do I get to bash off Les Dennis?

Phwoar! Thats a result. Katy was busy again but Les sorted me out with a signed photo this time which I'm pretty pleased with

Anyway, continuing the 1980s theme we have developing, I'd like to put this slice of Gallic Greenery forward

6 and a bit days to run, got bids already and appears to have no reserve - which I'm taking to mean its utterly fucked and the seller just wants rid. Its got that look of 'just at the point where everything becomes terminally rusty all at once' and you end up sellig your house, a kidney and a lung to keep it running, because doing so saves* you £55 a year on MOTs (from next year).

£1,500. Then again, I'm probably well under, but I don't know much about these or the values of them.

I think it's better* than @Stanky says. It's a project for sure but it has Some Things that Work, which is more than most other 1981 CXs.

It's also a late Phase 1 chrome bumper so the Citroen paedos will be foaming at the gash. Not me though, I like the Phase 2 plastic bumper Grace Jones weirdness.

Good description too, perhaps even honest, who knows?

I'll go for £2612.33 even without MoT.

Buyer will have beard and be wearing corduroy trousers.

Oi, i resemble that remark!! What more i didnt even bid on that Maestro (but my other half drives one as a daily) 😄

As an exowner of around about 15 CX's i feel happy to have a guess on this and be wildly out as my prices are based on buying them 20 years ago.

Lets say.... £1642.42 precisely

I like you for saying this (but not in 'that' way)

It does look like good, but there are some crusty edges. Interior looks good and clean.

£3,500 (and a blank cheque for recommissioning).

And it’s a CX, so if it’s got visible crusty edges it will have no battery tray box section, possibly no fuel filler surround inside the flap and if it’s really bad rotted out rear window channels and if sunroof, we’ll, let’s not mention the drains. Nearly forgot, it’s a Pallas, so possibly (probably?) no sills under the chrome cover plates 🤣
