I got a wisdom tooth extraction along with the molar next to it on my birthday once. Got stitches in my gum and some heavy duty prescription painkillers which I wired into as soon as I got home.

Not optimal, but it doesn't look like the kind of rust that's concealing anything. Welded up and properly sealed it should be ok.

I'm not a welder, but will gladly listen to anyone who thinks it might be fixable... This is the worst side but the passenger side is also fucked. Then what else? 

I only found it as I stripped the whole thing out to start rust proofing it... It's only a qashqai as well

Check your sills, chassis rails, front inner wings, and strut towers. Also, front and rear subframes. 

If you don't find any horrors elsewhere that looks fixable. You've spent on the car to improve the mechanics, so you might as well spend a bit on this if the rest of the car is ok. Otherwise, it's back to square 1.

That's something I need to do. Today started with me planning to wire brush and rust treat the crusty but OK suspension components... They were coming up OK until I poked around at the back. But it is all surface rusty, the front subframe isn't bad but again wants rubbing down itself and making tidy. 

Will poke about a bit and next weekend get the back bumper off and take better photos and then decide. Mot isnt until September 🤞

Airbag light that isnt related to an sensor or rust 🤔 5 years of happy trouble free motoring then voila, both in one year 😂

Two of the family have been on holiday visiting friends over in Canada the last couple of weeks.  Were due to be arriving back in Heathrow tomorrow at 1000.

Their flight has been cancelled.  So instead they're now having to fly via Frankfurt, and won't be landing until 1240 on Tuesday.

...40 minutes after I'll be scattering my Nan's ashes in Birmingham, also providing transport for three other people (two of whom don't drive).  So neither I nor my car will be available.

It's literally the one fscking day of the year that there's something on that I absolutely cannot cancel, reschedule, delegate or otherwise rearrange.

So after all the hassle they've had being stuck in Montreal airport all day and hopefully eventually getting put up in a hotel overnight, I'm going to have to make them piss about with trains when they get back into the UK.  Which was an absolute and utter nightmare last time we did it.  So yeah, I'm now feeling really guilty.

how much in the way of suitcases do they have? will it all fit in an Invacar?  I have got an appointment on Tuesday  the 6th of May around 2PM, but otherwise, but after that as long as I can get back before nightfall, if you think it will make life easier, i'd be happy to run luggage in REV from wherever they end up in London to your gaff if that might make things easier for everyone?

It's not your fault or your problem, and that's what public transport is for.  Your car doesn't have TAXI written on it.

Plus Heathrow to MK doesn't sound like the worst journey to do. Maybe not actually pleasant but there's plenty of trains to both.
