Porsche dropped off at another garage today. Will see how we get on with them. I hope they take credit cards as I am absolutely brassic.

You really need to find a local specialist.

Mine was 57mph in a 50 (60 for cars)

....

The slide said 5% motorway, 36% rural and 66% town.

I was the only one who questioned 101%.

Jesus Christ.

Can I take this moment to remind anyone thinking about going into business with anyone that a limited company or similar is fantastic protection against losing your personal assets in the event of this kind of thing. Not many people seem to be aware of the implications of being a sole trader / non incorporated partnership when stuff goes massively wrong.

Obviously you can get into the situation of personal director guarantees for loans etc but that’s a very conscious decision.

Luckily I am and was a limited company!!!!

Old company is now going through dissolve procedure .. will be in London Gazette for 2 months to see if any one has any objections then it's job done.

I've learnt a very valuable lesson. That's for sure.

Fitting doors, I bought a casement from Tippers, it was twisted to hell, took it back and went through 10 before finding one that was useable, even that was bowed to crap but at least I can pull it back in. Then the door, well.......... it’s all presently sat with a thousand clamps in the hope of pulling it back to respectable levels of warpedness.

Sorry no phones allowed. Was definitely 101%

5% 43% 53%

it's been rounded up. Was his answer.

Time flew by tbf. I learnt that the motorway speed limit is 70 mph.

When I said, yes but most people know the unofficial limit is 80mph. He said, no, how long do you sustain 80? It's the odd spurt and then youre back to 50.

I did a speed awareness course and found it quite useful.

Apparantly you ARE meant to drive with your lights on at night. Who knew?

Brother grumpy because another person who was going to view the paperwork hasn't arrived and has seemingly cut all contact. Also, in buying the P38 and not being able to sell the Camry he can't obtain Canadian citizenship which isn't particularly convenient because no money.

Me grumpy because I'm, the one who will have to fix everything in his Range Rover as I'm the only one who has dexterous hands because I play the piano. Wouldn't mind if the job contained taking the dash and battery out, which apparently is 6-12 hours long.

Absolute waste of the day chasing 3 different cars as stopgaps.

I ended up with none.

I know the whole car market has never been great, particularly at the lower end of the market, but ffs, it's got a lot worse over the past 3 years, it's just 98% mouthbreathing fuckwits on both sides.

That could be right. If the exact figures were 4.8, 42.6 and 52.6 - they add up to 100 but round to 5, 43 and 53.

Zovirex........ Seemily unavailable in litre quantities, therefore dipping my face into a vat of ice cold battery acid would be a vast improvement perhaps.

Yes, that's why you buy from fellow shiters if possible.

Chippy.

One of the things we missed most in Cyprus was proper fish and chips.  Imagine my delight when I discovered that my house in Barrow is round the corner from a promising-looking chippy.  For six and a half years I've been going there for my Saturday night treat (no you fools, I mean fish and chips!).  I usually walk the dog round the block on the way, because they don't mind her coming in, in my arms.

And so to the Grump.  Tonight I walked the dog round the block as usual... and found the chippy in darkness.  Handwritten sign on the door: closed Saturday night.  Oh great, thanks.  So because I'm still not allowed to drive I had to persuade MrsR to drive me to the next chippy, double the distance away... also closed!  So we had to drive around until we found one open, which cost me about £1.50 more than usual.  What a faff just to get fish and chips!

I've noticed around here that the chippies aren't open when you'd expect them to be, it's rather annoying. Where I grew up, all the chippies in the town where open 7 days s week, round here they open when they feel like.

Yeah. Barrow. I went to for an interview once at BAE Systems. Afterwards I had a look around the town.

I've seen worse. Not.

Was just checking to see if I had an email from the lottery telling me I was rich and noticed I had a message from a credit card company with my statement.

Odd, I don't think I have a card of theirs. Check my wallet. No.

Fuck, have I been ripped off. Mention it to missus. She says no, do you not remember we both got them at the same time a couple of years ago.

Log onto their website. Already registered. Okay, have a right battle signing in. Get in and theres a balance of £3,200.

Fuck. Instead of being richer I find out I'm £3k poorer than I thought I was. Fuck knows what I spent it all on. Theres been no activity on the account going back ages so its defo me being a dick somehow and not something fraudulent. Thankfully it seems to be interest free. Must find out how long for.

Its a bit like poking rust on a Triumph. I should've left it well alone.

Judging by the number of people driving at night using only DRLs, I'd say there's quite a bit of ignorance out there.

Get to quack, show him your boat and kindly request he issues you with Acicolovir.

Basically Zovirax cream is about 2mg of active agent in a tube. Acicolvir tabs are 200mg each and you take five a day for five days. Discomfort gone in a day, then just wait a week for the body to fix up any scarring and scabbing.

Available over the counter in some European countries, I always get friends or relatives to bring me back a box if passing a chemist. More practical than a mini bottle of Ouzo or a straw donkey

I moved the window based suet ball feeder to the nearby tree yesterday as the little birds seemed reluctant to approach the building. It now has loads of birds, but not the little ones I was aiming to help.

^ I chuck lots of suitable leftovers into the ivy that grows on my garden wall, intended mainly for the blackbirds and thrushes but it seems to attract Magpies and cats :(

I may desist as it does the original targets no favours whatsoever.
