Beko is right an i3 with and ssd disk will be rapid . You don't need to spend a fortune. It also means you can copy all your stuff over from your old one at your leisure.

Looked up the spec online and it should be usable, you'd benefit from a 2nd hand 4GB stick of memory and an SSD drive for storage if you're looking at getting that one up and running again. Even doing a clean install of Windows will help. Not sure if they still do but Toshiba were terrible for installing a boat load of unnecessary software that runs in the background hogging resources at the time, which a clean install from a non Toshiba Windows disc will get rid of.

8 years old is about 257 in laptop years. Windows gets into a right old state  after a while, formatting the disk and re-installing it from scratch will help. While you're at it If you feel brave buy and fit and SSD* disc you'll not believe the difference it makes....

This is probably going to start a major row, but I'm so sodding furious I'm going to post it anyway.

I recently had a really nice Omega up for sale on this very forum.

Due to someone doing a hit and run, I drastically reduced the price. I was contacted by a forum member, and a price was agreed, with collection due last Saturday. Saturday morning arrives, and I get a txt saying, that due to illness, he'd have to postpone.............fair enough

We agreed a collection day for yesterday, and he agreed to put a deposit into my account, so that I could consider it sold.

I checked on Monday, .......no deposit. Tried to ring him numerous times, and left a couple of voicemails, no response

Wednesday [yesterday] arrives.............he doesn't. No contact whatsoever, although he's still posting, and visiting the site, so he's still alive...........

He's caused me a massive ball ache, caused me no end of grief with cancelled listings.

 

I didn't think that fellow 'shitists resorted to Gumtree retard type of behaviour............

Me sad at Prince's demise behind the clouds of purple rain..i worked for him twice..the 1st time in Munich 92 on the Diamonds and Pearls Tour..i had to build a backline for his private birthday party at a nightclub.. i was able to stand beside him all night whilst he played superfunk until 6am..it was just simply awesum...and a strange irony occurred a few days later.. a drunk American my flatmates brought back to the house..robbed us..including the 400DM cash i earnt from Princes show....a couple of days later..i found a 3 diamond and white gold vintage ring in my room...the thief had lost it whilst faffing around. When i amicably split from my Irish girlfriend...she said to me..Nobody ever gave me diamonds..i pulled it out of my pocket and said..Always remember i did....x
