Bollocks, I put coppaslip around the pots to stop the slugs, and Charlie has just picked one up and got it on his romper. What's good to remove it?

G101 but it was hard going getting it off my seats in the car after one mot.

That just means he has a 'garage romper' now, isn't that how it works?

Ed and Bub, hope you both are ok.

Feeling fucking exhausted all of the time, I mean dead on my feet exhausted. Sick of feeling like this.

The CPAP machine is doing perfectly according to those who know. I'm sitting here typing and I just want to close my eyes and go to sleep.

Fuck.

I love Autoshite.  I've had seven years here now and been very happy.  I've bought, sold, won and given away cars and there's been loads of good-humoured banter and actual help, which has been brilliant.

That's all changed in recent weeks.  The forum has gone the way of the rest of the nation.  I already don't read a newspaper or watch TV news (says a man with a journalism qualification!).  The way the forum has gone is something I really don't need.  It isn't the cosy corner it used to be.

Know the feeling....

I have to be honest and haven't really noticed much negativity. It could be I keep out of certain threads on the open forum, which are poison so just don't see it. I'd advise anyone else who feels this way to do the same.

It seems business as usual other than a few good contributors have left for their own reasons. Hopefully they'll come back but I'm just going to keep using the forum the way I always did (moaning about my [insert car here]).

Speaking of which I my insurance runs out on the Cadillac next week and I really don't want to renew it but I can't sell it for the life of me!.

Nasal hairs... Just WTF?

As (possibly) Billy Connolly once said.

" What am I going to do in later life that nasal hair will actually equip me for?"

All it does is my case, is make me sneeze, gurn and keep poking at my nose !

As you were...

I'm trying to grow my nose hair into a moustache that I can hinge upwards if I'm drinking tea or eating soup.

Better still, hook it over your ears just to show off. Or invent a new comb-over hairstyle. Would probably work best if they crossed over at your forehead so you could still see where you were going. (Do you wear glasses at all?).

Braided and beaded hanging loose maybe? Permed would make you sneeze. Probaby. It did to me.

A few words of advice, avoid carrying out this job in the company of someone who enjoys an impromptu pillow fight.

I often wondered if too much social media and looking at Gumtree adverts etc, can inadvertently make you drop to the standard* of English some people display. The answer seems to be yes, as I often have to re-type things where I've used the wrong spelling, or spend ages proof reading what I've typed.

Amy and the kids and a mate are going on holiday this week. I can't go because I couldn't get the time off work, and the holiday was paid for, eva taken out of school etc. It wasn't really a big thing until I went to leave for work this morning and eva sobbed her heart out because I couldn't go. I then cried most of the way to work and am in full on grumpy arsehole mode now.

Was hoping to drive down at the weekend but our finances dictate that probably won't happen, ill need most of a tank to get there and back...

Hopefully eva will be fine once they are there, and I'll cheer up with a child and amy free week and weekend. Another friend of ours a d her sprog were making noises about driving down too and staying in the caravan, I hope they do now.

Moribund or mental. No half measures in how the locals drive where I live.

There's a particular bit of road out in the Fens which goes from a 30 into an NSL; I appear to be the only person who speeds up after the NSL sign.
One impatient woman in a Focus decided to hammer past me about 10 yards from the NSL - had she waited for a femtosecond into the NSL I'd have been up to speed.

Unfortunately I'd had a crap day and she nearly took my door mirror off in the process. I was in the 960, waited till I was in the NSL, booted it into the NSL and drew level. She didn't like that. In the end, I let her back in after I could hear her screaming over the Volvo's fucked exhaust.

She then pulled over to have a go and wouldn't have it at all that if she'd waited A FRACTION OF A FUCKING SECOND into the NSL I'd have been up to NSL. Apparently I was breaking the law and the police were going to get involved. I let her rant and rave and then politely pointed out that the police may well have a go at me, but they'd be more interested in the fact that:

1. She was well over the speed limit in a 30, and on the wrong side of the road
2. She nearly caused a collision by passing so close to me she nearly took my door mirror off
3. She remained on the wrong side of a broken line NSL road long after I'd backed off and decided to let her in.
Yep, I drove like a cunt. She was hardly a paragon of driving skill, either, I'm afraid.

Impossible to get drawn in sometimes, especially if the bitching is directed at you, completely unprovoked and the mods aren't interested in reining people in.

Sorry, telling it like I see it. When eddyRR's had enough you have to wonder.

Go into a branch of your bank and ask for some of your money, they can even make replacement cards on the spot in branches these days, or if you have mobile banking on your phone use the get cash bit on the app or even internet banking and transfer cash to someone you are in London with, who then can draw cash out.

Two wrongs don't make a right, you were wrong, regardless of what she had done, I'd have been having stern words with you if you left me hanging out on the wrong side of the road like that, its not big and its not clever, the last person who tried that on with me ended up in the ditch on the nearside.

A Focus would have lost that little row. Badly. And ramming someone off the road is hardly magnanimous.

I remained on the right side of the road at all times.

If she had waited for A FRACTION LONGER, I'D HAVE BEEN AT NSL. Daftness aside, what? 7 or 8 seconds? Fuck me, she's that important, eh?

She came with a hair's breadth of broadsiding me or at the very least ripping the door mirror off.

You know what? I shouldn't have done it. I was upset and pissed off at the day I was having. She was in the wrong place at the wrong time but she didn't half make a fucking hash of it (and nearly caused an accident).

There was no one coming the other way and I backed off when I felt my point had been made. If she didn't want the response she shouldn't have provoked me (and, you know, been so fucking impatient in the first place. I doubt you would have overtaken the way she did anyway).

Was it wrong? Yeah, it was. But her driving was fucking atrocious to start with. Had she not passed so close I'd have left it.

Stern words, aye. I sat there, nodded and told her to try arguing with the police if she was absolutely certain she would be absolved from blame.
