The grumpy thread

Fuck it, I'm at a loss now but reading others posts on this thread I'm not the only one to be in a shot situation. Work is terrible at the minute. Hours all over the place and generally being treated like a Twat while I'm there. The other shitter for me is the wife. She has been having issues lately and tests to see what the problems are. Tests come back and results aren't good. More tests, operations etc to come. Life threatening has been mentioned by the docs so I'm worrying my arse off. She is only 31, nearly 32 which is the same age my mum passed away from medical problems which weren't spotted soon enough. My health has taken a bad turn over past day too. Feeling off it, wooly headed and can't sleep. Worries about my wife aren't helping. Really feel like just disappearing.

I haven't 'liked' this for obvious reasons.

Just will say that my thoughts are with you.

Hey Bub, there's a couple of van driving jobs going at my place in Stoke. Really good money for driving a van and the work is piss easy.

The Gooner doesn't like route to work D I have just found... Some lorry shed its load of bottled water between stokenchurch and wycombe (avoid the M40 if your going that way) , traffic was queued a mile up the hard shoulder to get off at 5, so I wafted past, joined the sliproad and turned right, aiming to spin round and come back. Then I saw the traffic built up that way so carried on through picturesque countryside via ibstone, turville (dibly), frieth and marlow common.. and I wish I had a manual! It didn't know bloody what gear to go in, 3rd was fine, but the slightest hint of an incline it dropped to 2nd, then when it flattened out it would go up to 4th, then realize and back to 3rd etc. It's much more at home on the motorway in 5th. It fugging HATES fucked road surfaces too, large potholes and other such stuff you find on dirt tracks/c roads caused alarming noises and much banging about, even at 25mph! I was in the XUD ZX the last time I did that route and it was much happier. Luckily I was following a corsa who was driving slow, so I used them as my guide and held back.

Hopefully tonight I can use the M40 again! Dicked loads of fuel too, was hoping id have enough for tomorrow, may not now...

That's what manual mode is for.

I didn't think of that at the time, but that doesn't stop it changing down, just stops it changing up.

It's very rare I need to drive that way, so it's not a massive issue! The best thing was driving slow enough to have all the windows down and the roof open and not get blown to death. Rolly on the go, planet rock playing, it was a good place!

Found out today that an old and trusted friend/colleague has been busted for a massive hoard of images on his computer, the worst type imaginable, to be honest I'm pretty fucked up over it and am questioning my judgement, my gut instinct is razor sharp normally.

Another grump, frigging bullshit BBC are at it again,"Today Theresa May visited the site if the fire in London and Jeremy Corbyn also visited those people affected by the fire"

Theresa May didn't go fucking near the people made homeless, the bereaved, he did though

That haunted old bitch would be in for a volley of fucks if she came anywhere near me, even on a good day.

She was probably kept out of reach of the upset public for safety reasons.

Thankfully I got the chance to tell Thatcher what I thought of her, circa 1984 I think.

Yeah the way my box changes down itself in manual mode annoys me too. It does it at a speed it'd stay in gear when in auto as well, just to be more annoying! If I wanted it to do it automatically I'd still be in auto ffs!

Don't question yourself. My (limited) experience of people like this, in a professional capacity, I hasten to add, has shown that they are VERY good at hiding what they're up to.

Spit and a bit of kitchen roll would polish that out... Actual Polish would do it even better...

Or are you sad that it's wet?

The crappy ZX has seemingly sprung a bigger oil leak, caught a glimpse of the patches it's left outside earlier.

On the flip side it means I might have to buy another car sooner...

No disassemble number two!

Because we know you'll strip Johnny 5 down to a few trays of parts, then leave it a week or 3 whilst ordering spare from Manchester(via Hong Kong)

Then when its apparent the wrong Foo Foo spring has been sent the various bits get shoved in a box under the bench 'cos you need the room to work on the next victim...

Set my laptop uploading my video on JohnK's gorgeous Talbot Horizon, but Windows decided to restart during the night and killed the upload. Great! That'll have to wait until next week now.

Bollocks, I put coppaslip around the pots to stop the slugs, and Charlie has just picked one up and got it on his romper. What's good to remove it?
